Seems waiste of meens, but since having a lot of them, and not considering costs, they are repeating it with some success.

VIDEO: Rebel TOW missile takes out 24 government soldiers in Latakia
      By Chris Tomson -
      18/05/2016

During the evening, a pinpoint TOW missile attack by the Free Syrian Army’s 1st Coastal Division killed 13 and injured 11 of the pro-government National Defence Forces (NDF). The NDF soldiers became sitting ducks when their commander ordered the unit to regroup after government forces lost control of Tall Haddadeh earlier today.

Syrian Forces Win Back 2 Strategic Towns Near Marj al-Sultan Airbase

        Thu May 19, 2016 4:50

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army backed by Hezbollah and National Defense
Forces (NDF) seized back control of two strategic towns of al-Zina and
Hauz al-Homsi near the recently-captured military airport of Marj
        al-Sultan in Eastern Ghouta.

Different heavy and light weapons were used by the Syrian forces and
their allies during clashes with the terrorists which killed and
        injured tens of militants.

The Syrian army also took control of Qanveh building in Bayaz village
in Sha'ba region and a number of other blocks in front of the
agricultural ministry's office in the region.

Military sources announced on Tuesday that the Syrian army troops and
popular forces, in a fresh round of joint offensives, hit the
terrorist groups' positions hard in Eastern Ghouta and forced the
militants to retreat from a strategic town in the region.

"The terrorist groups left behind scores of the dead and injured
member and pulled the remaining pockets of their forced from Hosh
al-Khatib," the sources said, adding, "Recapture of Hosh al-Khatib
will put terrorist groups in Deir al-Assafir under more pressure."

Marj al-Sultan region is home to one of the most important airbases in
Central Syria with the same name, therefore, the government forces
have done their best in the recent weeks to restore full security to
the region which can be considered as a Central command in
        anti-terrorism campaign.

On November 12, the Syrian army and popular forces completely pushed
back the militant groups from Marj al-Sultan Airbase and its
surroundings, scoring their second groundbreaking victory after
lifting the ISIL siege of Kuweires airbase in Aleppo province a few
        days earlier.

Syrian army forces entered Marj al-Sultan military airbase in Eastern
Ghouta on November 10, and brought the base under full control two
        days later.

Damascus Countryside: Syrian Army Wins Back 13 Villages in Eastern Ghouta

              Fri May 20, 2016 5:33

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army managed to seize back over a dozen
villages in heavy clashes with the Takfiri terrorists in Eastern
              Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

A sum of 13 villages covering an area of 40 square kilometers is now
under the Syrian army's control, battlefield sources announced on
              Friday.

The Takfiri terrorists of Ahrar al-Sham, Faylaq al-Rahman and Jeish
al-Islam were driven by the Syrian army from Bayadh Shaba'a, Zobdeen,
Harasta al-Quntara, Bazina, Deir al-Assafir, Arz al-Nahasiya, Housh
              al-Homsi, al-Rakabiya, Arz al-Shartout, Arz al-Kasar, al-Azodiya,
              Nouleh and Bala al-Qadima.

The Syrian army has managed to maintain the security of Damascus
Airport and the road leading to Zaynabiya region.

Earlier on Friday, the Syrian government forces detected and destroyed
several tunnels used by the militants to move across Eastern Ghouta.

"The Syrian Army seized a net of tunnels used by Takfiri terrorists in
the battlefields of Eastern part of Damascus," the sources said,
adding, "The Syrian soldiers and Hezbollah fighter, who captured
several villages from the extremist of Faylaq al-Rahman and Jeish
al-Fustat on Thursday, unearthed a large network of tunnels that
stretched from the villages of Sheba’a to Deir al-Assafir."

"These tunnels were heavily stocked with assault rifles, ammunition,
mortar shells, missiles, maps, Saudi produced food, first aid kits,
telecommunication devices, entertainment equipment, and educational
              pamphlets," they added.

Also on Wednesday, the Syrian army units blew up a tunnel dug by the
al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front in the suburb of the capital
Damascus, killing the entire militants inside.

The 400-meter-long tunnel, dug in Qudsiyeh Damascus' suburb by
al-Nusra terrorists, was detonated by the Syrian army.

Detonation of the tunnel inflicted major losses on the terrorists.

The tunnel enjoyed a storage room, ventilation pipes and other
              necessary equipment.

US Air Force drops “leave now” leaflets over Raqqa as Kurdish forces prepare to attack
                By Leith Fadel -
                21/05/2016

The U.S. Air Force dropped thousands of leaflets over the provincial capital of Al-Raqqa on Friday, ahead of the long anticipated offensive by the Kurdish-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF).

According to a Syrian government source, the leaflets dropped by the U.S. Air Force advised the civilians of Raqqa City to leave the area before the coming offensive by the Syrian Democratic Forces. On Thursday, a large convoy from the Syrian Democratic Forces made its way to the northern countryside of Al-Raqqa, where they met up with their comrades that are preparing to attack the provincial capital.

This latest offensive is going to be conducted under the supervision of the U.S. military advisers; it is likely going to be a long campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
