Interesting how Western powers are intentionally shifting the conflict at the turkish border when all the IS apes are concentrated on the other side of the country. By pushing the Saudis by proxy into the conflict against the Russians, the US will seal their exclusivity with the Sunni Arabs. The West wants to start WWIII without their involvement. What would Russia's proxy move would be? Yemen, Egypt or kurds?

You're kidding right? Saudis? They're unable to handle the Houthis. Generally, in the Islamic world, when speaking of military might only 3 nations actually have credibility: Turkey, Iran, and Egypt. This is not a size thing but mostly having a credible chain of command and officer corps. You can't even put the Pakis in that list anymore as their chain of command is pretty much infested with fundamentalists and they can't even secure their own borders.

The reality is that the Sunnis want full control of Northern Syria and they got their green light from the US/NATO. turkey like a scared child is already testing the waters by shelling close to the Russian controlled regions. The question is, what is Russia's next move?

Russia needs to hold its ground in Syria. Russian Air Power, Syrian Army soldiers, Kurdish fighters in the North, and Iranian assistance is more than adequate to counter anything the GCC or Turkey plan on throwing at it. I think the Turks are smart enough to stay out of a ground war in Syria. I also think the GCC is arrogant enough to march in there, much like they did in Yemen and are currently getting worked.

Turks think NATO will back them up.
Saudis think West will back them up.

Little do they know when sh1t hits the fan no one is backing them up....The West wants a confrontation between Russia and Turkey, Russia and Saud.......they tried to engage Russia into a war against Ukraine for long term and failed........so now lets try the same thing over in Syria.......IF Turks and Saud invade Syria officially.......it will be the end of both of those countries....

A military source said that Turkish armed forces shelled Syrian army positions in the northern Syrian province of Latakia.

Turkish artillery pounds Kurds in northern Syria. Will Russia react?

The Syrian war took a new turn Saturday, when Turkish artillery Saturday started pounding Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) forces near the northern Syrian town of Aleppo. It started shortly after Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu threatened the same measures against the Syrian Kurds “as we took in Iraq and Qandil [against PKK strongholds]."
This week, PYD forces, with close Russian support, seized control of the Minagh air base near Aleppo from Islamist rebels. DEBKAfile: This was the first instance of Russian-Kurdish cooperation in the Syrian war.
The fall of the base deprived left Syrian rebels encircled in Aleppo of their supply routes by air, after the Syrian army and allies cut off their road links to Turkey. This steps were part of the Russian strategy for the capture of Aleppo, and Moscow will most likely retaliate for the Turkish artillery attack.

Stupidity: the Menage airport is just next the city of Azaz, itself directly on the turkish border.
So effectively cut from Aleppo and Idleb rebel held territories, by the late syrian army advance having cut the highway Haleb - Turkey.
As such, no need at all for the pro turkish rebels, since they have their road to Turkey via Azaz open.
No strategic need for Syria neither, since too close to the turkish border, and as a matter of fact under turkish artillery fire by now, since capture by the Kurds.
Use for Kurds?? if ever they have an air force… or if ever turkey cuts the smuggling roads to Afrin, and they does need an air link with the rest of kurdish lands east of the Yeprad… and thus, provided they do capture more lands to protect it from mortar….
But anyway, Turkey still can reach it easily.

Zero Hedge reports, as we documented extensively this week, the Saudis and the Turks are now set to invade. Mr. Assad has promised to “confront them,” which of course means that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hassan Nasrallah’s army are set to come into direct contact with Turkish and Saudi troops, setting the stage for an all-out sectarian war that will almost invariably end up pitting NATO against the Russians.

Note that this is different from Yemen, where Tehran fights via proxies rather than directly against the Saudi military.

Turkish officials also claimed a "major escalation" was coming in the next 24 hours. Turkey and Saudi Arabia have long warned of a ground invasion to halt Sunni losses. I guess this is what Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev meant when he warned of a new World War...

This story was posted following the shelling of government and Kurdish forces. If Russia and Iran respond, this possible war can spill over to Artsakh and the Turkish, Armenian boarder. Iran will be allied with us, as well as Russia. Azerbaijan will be flanked on three sides with enemies(4 if you count the Caspian). If this goes down it going to be huge. Many will die.
This would be an oportune moment for Russia to reject the Kars agreement.
