Of course, when I landed in Yerevan last summer, it did feel like I had went BACK to Armenia....which is even more weird considering that even my great-grandparents' home was in the part of Armenia that is now in the hands of the turks.

Yes I would, even though like Baron I'm not from what Armenia is today.

I said maybe...Armenia will always be my home, even though I was born in Baku, nothing feels more home to me then the three years I lived in Armenia. It would be difficult for me to move back and live there, not knowing the language is one setback, but I'm sure I can overcome that. when I think about the hard life I had there I dont think I would want my own future family to go through that, but if I was financially secure then yes I think I would move back, I'd rather my future kids grow up in their motherland then anywhere else. *sigh* I miss it soooo much

I think this is a good quote.

“There exists no Armenian ‘race.’ There is only an Armenian people, an Armenian nation. This is why we need to fight. The Armenian people in the diaspora are losing their identity as a cultural-national entity, succumbing to the centrifugal effects of cultural assimilation. If Armenians of the diaspora do not claim their right to live in their homeland they will gradually lose their common cultural identity. And if this happens, the white massacre of our nation will have succeeded.”

          -Monte Melkonian

I would add that it's not so much of a "white massacre" but rather an overral massacre.

I'd love to move back to Armenia and the fact that I am not fluent in Armenian doesn't keep me from moving back there. Just if it wasn't so hard to live there. Quite often, my parents and I talk to my family on the phone who are in Yerevan and things just seem tough there. Other than that, I would love to live there. Of course I choose Armenia over America.
            I see...

Even though it wouldn't be moving back, I wouldn't move to Armenia.
