Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Anomaly - to say you are nuetral on this is to say you have willing put your head in the sand (at best) - or that you are a liar...and obvioulsy so - recommending Mango and decrying the politisizing of the issue at the same time - LOL.

There is no serious historical debate concerning (if it was a ) Genocide. There is just mounds and mounds and mounds of evidence. To say "let the historians decide" is quite disengenuous. Hello...

And I also find it interesting that you seemingly choose to ignore the manner in which Turkey has attempted to erase any memory of Armenians in Anatolia. Just why is this that they seemingly are so insecure? Might it be that they feel a bit guilty for what was done. I mean obviously they did Armenains no great favors - at the very least - and even the worst Turkish apologists admit that at least hundreds of thousands of Armenains were brutally killed and that Armenians - a people and culture with great historical significance and presence in Anatiolia - are no longer there - that the timeline basically ends in 1915. Something to be proud of fer sure....

Shasha - I'm sure that you don't relise this - but its people like you (who think like you) who are responsible for the Genocide - and all genocides...

And your pride in "race" ...sounds an awful lot like Enver and Talat and others of their ilk to me.

I hope that as/when you oneday grow up you will understand the great deficiencies of your thinking and just how ugly you were.

Whether it sounds ugly or not doesn't change the fact that it is true what I said.
I proud of my race, we are the first nation that accept Christianity on the world, we are one of the rare nations on the world that have strong links to the ancient world.
To proud of his/her identity doen't make someone racist. And I don't support to make genocide upon turks, what I say is that half of the Anatolia is historically ours and we have a right to claim her.
And honestly give me an answer: don't you think that nations I counted above are NOT the part of European culture? What is your opinion about this? If you agree with me stop labelling me with something that I am not.

Then you are a fool for thinking so, because Armenians are historically, culturally and genetically European.

Ok - I can agree with this. But when you start to diss others - purely based on their race/ethnicity or what have you...

Yes and the blood fued continues. There are many peoples who might lay claim to lands based on similar...and while I do have sympathy for this claim in our case - based on how our lands were (criminaly) taken from us and the suffering caused etc...in the end it is just land. You are familiar with the Sayroyan quote I'm sure...well Armenians are making it wherever they end up. And we are still a people with strong values and strong families. And while it would be nice to again call Ararat, Lake Van and all of our opther places again home...its just not ever going to happen. It is entirely impractical. Even if possible - it would pretty much only be so if we were to commit a Genocide against the people already there. So in effect you are advicating such if you support forcably taking back lands. And in the end I question how many Armenains would move back. A few certainly...but what would they do? Become sheep herders again? Where is the incentive when most of us are living well in the west? Perhaps when you have a family of your own to care about you will understand these issues better...

Question: What part of Armenia is (or ever was) in Europe? What is European culture? etc etc Now I understand how Armenia's heritage is more ingrained with - for instance- ancient Greece, Rome, Byzantine Emprie etc etc and that we are Orthodox Christian and not Muslim etc..and that one can perhaps establish a linkage based on this and related...however Armenia was never a European nation...and I really find this need by some to make this connection and to identify with being white/European or what have you an indication of a real inferiority complex as well as indication of a racial/racist approach that I find, well distasteful.

Proove it. Perhaps it was those like you (well I'm ascribing more courage and resolve then you likely have) - but basically idealistic, nationalistic, ignorant fools like you - who - through their own violence and through their own (premature and of certain negative outcome) actions - essentially goaded the Turks into commiting Genocide against the Armenians. I'm not claiming that this is so - as the issue is more complicated - obviously - but don't go ascribing blame to me - with no foundation. On the other hand - it is clearly people like you and shasa - who value other humans as something lesser then yourselves - who have no understanding of human life - and care - who see things in only black & white, us and them - who are responsible for atrocities and crimes against humanity...

You couldn't shoot a pig in the head even if you owned a farm full of them. You self-grandeurizing, deceitful, internet geek.

Don't speak one more word of hiding behind a computer until you, "Armenian" post proof that you have actualyy done SOMETHING, ANYTHING concerning the moronic things you claim.

Because I sincerely believe you are a hopeless sociopath, all talk no action.
