In an exclusive interview to Armenian online newspaper Aysor, the Deputy Speaker of the British House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox said "Azerbaijan used its citizens as a shield in Khojalu." The interview was taken on September 22, when Cox was visiting Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh for the launch of a charity even founded by her and the British “Lilis Consulting” company.

In that interview, which can be read here, she also says that Nagorno Karabakh is on its way of becoming a democratic state. Cox says the international community is not well informed about the real events surrounding Nagorno Karabakh and its struggle for freedom and independence from Azerbaijan.

"I think at present Azerbaijan is spending a lot of money for the circulation of the “Khojalu events” phrase. But I know also that Armenia had informed the Azerbaijan about the attack and had given a chance to the people of Azerbaijan to leave the place. Even they, the Azeri, say that they have been informed about the attack."

In regard to the future status of Nagorno Karabakh, an enclave populated by majority Armenians, who's rights were consistently oppressed by the government of Azerbaijan, she expressed her hope that the international community can see the democratic developments and the desire to live free in Karabakh and will give the young republic a chance to defend those rights.

"I have been present in NKR presidential elections, and not only me, there have been present a number of representatives of different international organizations and all of them assured that the elections have been held according all the norms of democracy. Nagorno Karabakh is on its way of becoming a democratic state where the human rights are respected and the civic society is being developed. I hope that the international community based on the self determination right of the nations will give Artsakh people a chance to lead its own fortune and to decide the way of its own future," said Baroness Cox.

Well that's a first. I'm glad that someone in the international scene explicitly agrees with our account of Khojalu.

Caroline Cox has devoted much of her life to the Artsakh liberation cause. She continues to shine here. Artsakh has even opened a school with her name. This is information from Wikipedia about her work with Armenians:

Baroness Cox is the chairperson of the British Armenia All-Party Parliamentary Group. She is also a strong supporter of self-determination for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is official part of Azerbaijan. Paying tribute to Cox's dedication to the Armenian cause, Frank Pallone, Jr., the co-chairman of the US Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, called her a "true Armenian nationalist who would give her life for Armenia and Karabakh". On February 15, 2006 she was awarded the Mkhitar Gosh Medal by the President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan.

They just use "Khojaly" as leverage against Armenia and Artsakh. They still can't believe that they lost the war and now they're making up lies. Armenian soldiers always gave time and a route for civilians to escape through.

Hellektor thats what i meant when i said a few muslim countries, those that accept it because Armenia is a Christian country, there not the wiser. Everything else i agree with you. Its funny how azeris created this book that supposedly Zori Balayan wrote.

"How stupid one should be to torture his people with false announcements! It transpires that the Azerbaijanis are very skillful in this. They do not spare Azerbaijani readership and portrait horrific scenes xxxxxling common ethics.

To make sure one can only search for "revival of our spirit" phrase on the Internet and find numerous Azerbaijani websites where our neighbors post descriptions of inhuman deeds ascribing them to Armenian writer and publicist Zori Balayan.

After 15 years of futile efforts to find inhuman actions on part of the Armenian freedom fighters, Azeris have decided to accuse Armenians of made-up cruelties. Many Azeri internet sources allegedly quote the words of Zori Balayan from his "The Revival of Our Spirit" book: "… but only an Armenian whose heart was pulled out and thrown into the fire can feel proud and satisfied reading these lines.

"When Khachatur and I went down to the basement where they were kept our soldiers had already a child hammered to a window frame by his elbows… Then I did to this 13 years old Turk what his ancestors did to our children… He died of hemorrhage in 7 minutes… Khachatur hacked his body and threw pieces to dogs…" Citing this extract from our cruel neighbor’s unhealthy fantasy we want to calm Azeri readers down saying: "The above is a fable of your countrymen. Zori Balayan has never published such a book." It’s also silly to mention the place and date of publication and the pages of the quotes (Vanadzor, 1996, pages 260-262) to ring true.

Zori Balayan, who is currently aboard "Cilicia" sailing vessel, wrote a letter. "Many people call me these days asking whether I have a book published in Vanadzor and titled ‘The Revival of Our Spirit’. The question is that for already two years people come across this dirty disinformation, this perfect nonsense, to put it mildly, which is said to be a sentence from my non-existing book. I want to say that authors of these false quotes do not understand that first of all they discredit their own people."

As you can see i know very well that khojaly was a fake. i know azeris killed azeris and blamed the Armenians.

"I demand that those entitled to protect writers’ rights by investigating such cases to show the readers the book that was quoted. I am sure that the human rights are not a hollow sound but a necessary reality of our life and it has to be protected."

The whole thing was a 5 hour operation to extinguish the rocket launching pad that had incessantly fired Grads on civilian Armenians and according to simple rules in battle the raid was totally justified, legitimate and necessary. Khojaly had to be liberated to establish access to the only airport in the region and stop the sadistic genocidal act of firing rockets into houses, schools and hospitals.

The whole thing happened in “Azeri” occupied territory yet the number of “Azeri” filth put out of their misery has grown (and is still growing) all the time.

First they announced 100 “civilian” deaths, then after throwing the pure bodies of 34 out of 47 innocently slaughtered Armenian hostages in Aghdam on the pile of “Azeri” garbage they increased the number to 136. These were the bodies that were scalped to hide the identity of the Armenians and to shamelessly accuse Armenians of performing Turk culture on corpses.

Then they rounded the number to 200, later to 400, Still, applying Turkish ishec mathematics, they thought they could better put the 6 in front of the number 136, as a result they miraculously achieved the 613 number.

It was later rounded up to 1000 by the Jew scambug with a Turk whore Thomas Goltz, still later the miracle performing Turkish math increased it to 2000, 3000, 3500…

Recently they have even mentioned the number 6000 (note the significant 6). So what's the matter? Turks procreate fast but do dead Turks procreate faster than the live specimens of the species? Since the whole thing has happened in about a decade and a half, seems dead Turks reach maturity much faster if we have to believe the 60 times population growth of dead Turks.

Zori Balayan says as a people’s deputy in the 725th national territorial okrug of which Khojaly was also a part, he had at his disposal the exact number of the electorate of the area. Khojaly had 1350 eligible electors from a population of about 2150. It is a real mystery how, even after the evacuation of the area after the announcement by Armenians of the imminent attack through all available media, weeks before the actual operation and the departure of those who were let to pass through the humanitarian corridor, the population increase in hell of the dead Turks has reached such a record high.

One last thing, the whole charade “happened” in “Azeri” occupied area so how on earth aren't they able to count the dead, how hard is that for Turks?

That still after all these years we have to come back to this insignificant incident instead of letting the world know of the real genocide of Armenians by “Azeri” filth from 1988 to 1994 starting in Sumgait…

Yes. Azerbaijan has joined Turkey as being the second country to vehemently deny the Armenian Genocide at the state level.
