Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

My father helped his cousins get out of Turkey back in the 1980's. They are now living in LA and live a good life. You have to get out of Turkey as soon as possible...I wish you luck.

Re: To be a HIDDEN ARMENIAN in turkey...

I dont know the other families but none of my ucles and aunts married with turks. My father too, and i wont marry with a turkish too... In turkey, traditions are little bit different than christian countries. Most of turkish never accept to marry with non-muslims, its only possible when they converted their religion. I think some hidden Armenians married with the turks, kurds or arabians. And im so sorry but some of them assimilated by the turks=( They couldnt assimilated me yet, and thats the reason why im here in this forum! They cant assimilate me, I want to die as a Christian Armenian, i hope i can...

Do u know what was my first homework at university??? It was "How can we defend our country from Armenian Genocide lies"! imagine that, how can i pass that lesson??? How can i walk on the street? You know how much racist and fanatic muslims live in turkey! Actually i am not important but i ve a little brother and my mother only.My father dead when i was a child. All our neighboors are muslim, they can ignore my family, the children can attack to my brother. Because it happened to my father and grandfather at the past! Of course i dont want to be a hidden but i have to for now. At the end of university,i ll move to different country with my mother&brother and this nightmare ll finish!
I think you are actually just some Kurd looking for a new excuse to gain entry into America or the EU. Now that the old fake polıtical oppression excuses don't work anymore you are dreaming up this 'oppressed hidden Armenian' one. Wouldn't surprise me at all if soon thousands of so-called 'hidden Armenians' start to turn up at European airports claiming asylum. Of course they will all be 100% Kurdish.

He only remembered his family killed=( But my grandmother is different, she knew she has brother and sister who went to france. She never had a chance to contact with them...

Dont worry,if i want to go somewhere in EU or USA, i can do it easily!!! Some of my relatives live in Germany and Australia. I didnt say "i need visa or pick me up to USA!". Or turkish goverment very successful about assimilation politics Thats very sad if you are really an armenian I dont believe you, you cant say "armenian genocide isnt lie" in turkey, if u say that or write it to your exam paper, be sure you ll be in police station in 5 minutes than they ll send u to the law court!!! Do you know Orhan Pamuk?? He said "turks killed 1 million armenians", and all the turkish people start to hate him, finally goverment send him to law court!!! Look at your nickname, its Hamshen, its a name of a place in Rize which calls Hemsin, hemsin people ve never accepted that they are armenians, u can look at the books about hemsin, i ve a friends from hemsin and no of them accept their Armenian nationality! You are very big liar Hamshen! Dont forget, they ll kill you first when they ve a chance! I dont know you but i dont want to live with killers of my grandfathers and grandmothers...
i've specified that i don't know other cities of turkey!i don't have to persuade you tahat i'm an armenian.also i wrote those sentences to my exam people, and noone arrested me.u can see the papers in marmara university (journalism)
of course i know orhan pamuk!but you must understand the difference of u or me and orhan pamuk.when an armenian talk about genocide it makes no sense compare to SOAD for example.
today many steps are taken with the help of those people.do you know aziz nesin?people tried to kill him in 1993.but after his death many people see him as a hero.turkey is such a country that can give names of executed prime ministers to streets, schools etc.
saying "genocide is happened in turkey" is not a guilt in turkey today.but a racist has rights to sue orhan pamuk etc.also pamuk is not the only person talk about genocide.i can give you murat belge as an example.also he uses many documents to prove his ideas..and, noone sued him up to now!so the way u did is important.
also about hamshen.u may have many friend from hamshen but i'm sure i have more..u can visit many forums including hamshen topics.and u'll see u are wrong.
and i'm sure noone will kill me!u must wake up!
do you really want to leave your own land?just because of some racists?be brave!noone can hurt you!
don't you have any armenian friends?or turkish friends who has no racist feelings?
of course i don't want to live with people who killed my grandpa but they have already died, and people who tried to assimilate us.this is the main thing.if u and people like u will keep on hiding their identities, armenians of turkey will have to struggle such things.

Then quit what sounds just like whineing. All in all, your difficulties are really no more than any other young and educated person in Turkey has.

We all know about Turkey's hidden or partially assimilated Armenians. If you want to say something useful (and perhaps controversial) then comment on the lack of any support from the Armenian Church in Istanbul, an organisation which has rarely had the guts to set foot outside of that city for the last 90 years.

Hamshen please dont say i am an armenian anymore, how u can say these sentences? I felt im talking with a turk. You should be brave and stop to support turkish politics! You should wake up, if you are an armenian!!! "There was a genocide happened by turks on 1915" This is not a racist sentence, this is truth, isnt it? I must respect to your ideas, thats your life, i dont know you but i dont want to live with killers of my grandparents. You say nobody want to kill you, ok lets explain me how much armenian killed by turks after genocide? They were saying u r armenian,u r an asala terrorist then they were killing innocent people! Just explain me why turkish goverment closed the Armenia customs??? Why turkish goverment supporting to azerbaijan, why they are giving them guns???!!!
