Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

He should have instead called for annulments or recounts or to hold new elections.
    Absolutely agree.

It was totally off some of the statements by the American Armenian guy.
Totally different from the opinions expressed on the video I posted.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

If we can take a step back and take and look at what has been said about the Armenian government it will improve things a bit. Consider the idiots, from this guy claiming that he is going to hold a rally because he won, to the guy on a hunger strike. To a fake assassination attempt using a target gun that is 100 years old. While Baboons are ratcheting up tensions and might start a war.

Lets take a step back and absorb this bull going on by all the candidates minus Sarkisian. Let us also reflect all the sh!t said on this forum about the Armenian government yet the alternatives are nothing but a JOKE! At the same time putting us in serious danger and tainting our name. Take a step back and look at the extreme views posted here and tell me what good it does our little Armenia?

Mean while all over every newspaper across this planet reporting news of Armenian elections with people in this forum spewing venom. Some of you should be real proud of yourselves, as you have been repeatedly told the dangers of daydreaming. Now look, take a nice look around, and maybe if you have not already convinced some of us patriots about your twisted views, you should go on a hunger strike or maybe shoot yourself in the foot to gain extra attention.

Armenia has been MIA for a long time, she just came out of hiding 20 years ago, and some of us are lost to these facts and the baboon is gearing up. The oil fund just went negative they are now pulling money out of the fund! They are getting more aggressive and shooting our people.

Lets ruin all this with this JOKE of hunger strikes, and being shot with a target gun ( shortly before a meeting with the English ) OH and the guy claiming he is president when even the Western press knows who won. Why can't we just be a little realistic?

Raffi is heating up. In election campain he never was firy like this. Now it seems he is heating up public for big event. Kind of scary. What would that be?. Where did he get that he has definitely won? Not a word about election fraud or evidence. He is not even giving official or his numbers. He knows that Armenian public is divided and people who voted for opposition are angry (because people haven't learned yet, voting for someone does not guarantee election, he has to win majority). What is he doing?Where is he leading this people?.

The Armenian football player Yura Movsisyan posted a status update on his Facebook:

"I'd like to congratulate President Serzh Sargsyan on his re-election!
Wishing for lots of peace & prosperity for our motherland Armenia."

Most of the commenters are not happy.

We support the conclusions of the OSCE ODIHR observer mission in their preliminary conclusions that the elections were generally well administered and characterized by a respect for fundamental freedoms, including those of assembly and expression.

This is from the NY Times

There have been clear improvements in the electoral process since the previous presidential elections, and we have noted progress in many areas, including the media environment and the legal framework

The returns showed Mr. Sargsyan with about 59 percent of the vote, enough to win the presidency outright and avoid a runoff.
Meanwhile 5000 idiots in Armenia under Raffi's spell demand that the elected president of Armenia hand power over to Raffi...LOL

Of course with one overseas supporter TomServo, because he thinks his going to become the new minster of comedy

YEREVAN, Armenia (AP) — About 5,000 supporters of a presidential candidate in Armenia, who has lost to the incumbent, have protested the election results. President Serge Sarkisian easily won a second five-year term in Monday's vote, getting nearly 59 percent of the vote. The closest of his six rivals, American-born Raffi Hovanessian, polled 37 percent. Hovanessian, Armenia's first foreign minister after the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, has called the election unfair and rigged, and declared himself the genuine winner. On Wednesday, about 5,000 of his supporters gathered in the capital to back Hovanessian's demands. Hovanessian challenged the incumbent to come to the square in Yerevan, and some of his followers pledged to remain there through the night.
Gawd so tell us why did you vote for Raffi?
