She is very good. I wonder how aware she is of her Armenian heritage and if she cares about it.

Haha no, maybe she doesn't even know what "Armenian" is. I've met people with different heritages which don't know anything about it, for them is only a last name you recall from time to time or when you want to sound cool

That's a lot worse. In that case the person is no longer Armenian, and shouldn't be featured in this section (if that were the case).

There you go again Armanen-bashing people you know nothing about just because they are only part armenian. I get the feeling you hate part armenian people more then non armenians - especialy if they are part black and part armenian it seems. The onlly things you know about this girl is what she looks like and that she can sing really well but hey that doesnt stop you from reaching your usual conclusions and writing her off as a totally useless individual regarding anything armenian. Maybe if people like you and mos didnt act like this then more people would want to explore their armenian roots but when they see people like you they will quickly want to forget that part of their heritage. The attitude you and some others here have is a big part of why armenians assimilate and why some people feel uncomfortable moving or even visiting Armenia. We Armenians are not the Chinese-we do not have a surplus of people we can simply write off and no one gave you or anyone else such a right.

Man she has a voice.........siroun balikess.

She doesn't speak Turkish. She used to sings the words during choir as she heard them. I am sure she knows more Armenian now than Turkish words. You guys should hear it, she makes Turkish sound really good.

DJ Booth: What did you go about doing, during that whole process of learning the different languages?

Karina: Well, my first language [was] Russian. I just had an open ear to different languages, and when I was young I was in the choir, and in the choir we used to sing different languages like Hebrew and German. So, just growin’ up in a really diverse environment with Russian vocal coaches, and just bein’ able to adapt to the different languages was just something that came a little natural.

DJ Booth: Out of English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, and French, which was the hardest to learn?

Karina: The hardest I would say would be Arabic and Turkish – it’s like a whole different scale, and the pronunciation are different.

DJ Booth: Could you give us a little taste of one of them?

Karina: Of Turkish?

DJ Booth: Sure!

Karina: I can do that. [singing in Turkish]

DJ Booth: That was beautiful. Now comes the translation part; what did you just sing?

Karina: The translation?

DJ Booth: In English.

Karina: I haven’t sang that song in a long time; I don’t really remember what I’m singing.

DJ Booth: You know what? It doesn’t matter, ‘cause it was beautiful.
