    Re: Uniquely Armenian Names

More Unique and very, very old Armenian Names:

    Anushavan

    Vashtak

    Arnak

    Vstam

SLAK - The forefather of the ancient and noble Slkunyats Tohm (Slkuni Family) - The Lords of Taron, one of the most beautiful Armenian provinces. Slak and his entire family were murdered by Central Asian newcomers to the Armenian Highlands - the Mamgoon and his clan, which after wiping out Slkunis took over Taron. And then by a decree of a coward king this Mamgoon became known as Lord Mamikon and his klan Mamikonyan.
(Read about that and much more in "Patmutiun Hayotz" by Movses Khorenatsi)

          Avetis - UA

          Gayane - Latin

          Hripsime - UA

          Housaper - UA

Misak - from Hebrew Meshak. But it's a popular name in modern Iran, spelled as Missagh, so maybe the name landed in Hayq from Persia.

          Shoghig - UA

Սարմէն - Sarmen? Sorry but I've never heard this name before
Forget about it. It is used by Parskahais, I thought it must have been Armenian.

Ծաղկոյշ - i think its a form of Tsoghik, which is genuine Armenian
Ցողիկ is with a 'ց ' but Ծաղկոյշ with a 'ծ' so they are different. Ծաղկոյշ comes most probably from Ծաղիկ.
