This forum is pretty secure against many types of trolls: http://www.bladesignforum.com , to the point where you can't view any posts in almost all subforums or post or view user profiles unless you register, and are selectively approved. Perhaps the moderators and admins here can explore some of the anti-troll-spam features used by such a forum by asking its admin how they run it.

I wish I had the powers or the means to undertake to include such changes.

Unfortunately the admin is MIA himself.
