    You are right, but there is something to be said for a time when everyone had jobs...

    They might have "prospered", but at what cost? Environmental problems, mental problems, divorce rates, obesity abound in the West. There are many problems in the West that are just "overlooked" because lots of money is being made (only by those at top, of course). The West is bound to fall just like any country based on an extremist ideology. Just look at the current economic crisis in America.

        If only Armenia was surrounded by Christian counties and was unaware of the "mtv culture".

        but if it was liek that our culture our way of thinking could be completely different.

          During those 70 years Armenia became just as industrialized as western europe and had a much better education system. Plus the mtv culture wasn't there, and there is still time to prevent that bs from taking root like it already has in the so called west.
          For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
          to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
