      NOTES / COMMENTS
      ***********************************
      The most popular Big Lie:
All religions are false except mine.
      *
      Solutions are not verbal formulas;
      they are directions.
      We either advance towards them
      or we compound the felony.
      *
      Leaders exist because dupes exist;
and bad leaders outnumber the good ones
because idiots are a dime a dozen.
      *
It could be said of our revolution
at the turn of the last century
      in the Ottoman Empire:
      “Operation successful; patient died.”

        Re: Armenian Quotations

        Propaganda and TV commercials
work much better in a moronized environment.
        *
        After using a foreign word
he translated it into Armenian adding:
“I have a facility for languages.”
        *
Books are my best sources of inspiration.
As for life itself: I live that to those
        who can afford to live.
        *
If you don’t believe in black magic
it may be because you have never fallen in love.
        *
The word “heart” is sometimes used
as a euphemism for another organ.

ON A FAMOUS LINE BY MASSIKIAN
          ***********************************************
The most unforgettable and revealing line about Armenians
was delivered by Baruir Massikian from his deathbed.
When asked to leave his wealth
          to the Armenian Educational Foundation,
he is said to have replied:
“I’d rather leave it to a Cairo bordello.”
          *
If I have quoted this line before, I say:
Some lines cannot be repeated often enough!
          *
If truth offends you, it only means
you have some catching up to do.
          *
The greater the power of a nation,
the greater the number of crimes against humanity.
There is a Genghis Khan in all political leaders.
          *
The biggest lies come to us disguised
          as undeniable and self-evident truths.
          *
A man does not fall in love with a woman
but with a figment of his imagination.

No wonder he is a nobody.

In the UK our equivalent is the Battersea Dogs home.

Much more refined if one wants to make his last point before snuffing it.

            .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

              Re: Armenian Quotations

The solution to our problems is not a verbal formula. But if you insist on a verbal solution, abracadabra is as good as any.
