So do you think it will ever come to a point where the diaspora in America will be referred to/refer to themselves as Amerihyes as oppsed to Barskahye, Bolsahye, Hyastansi, etc. ?

They already do this in the diaspora and I do as well if I'm talking to someone over the internet or something. It's just a name to describe where you're from, that's all. Bolsahye is no better than Libanahye or Amerigahye; they're all Spiurkahayer.
Case in point, 3rd and 4th generation Armenians in America are rightfully referred to as "Amerigahye" and not "Kharpertsi" or "Vanetsi". You can say 'so and so' was a Kharpertsi or a Vanetsi, but you've been here in America for 80 or more years.Last edited by yerazhishda; 12-07-2008, 10:12 AM.
