Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Re: Discussion on Armenia's nation/culture/civilization/race

I know what you mean gmd, there is variation of what Armenians look like based on their ancestry, but the race aspect refers to the fact that our genepool is based in Asia Minor/Caucasus, even though we have this variation between us.

We have to mention racial parameters somewhere, it is a fact that it plays a role in our identity. If you showed me a Saudi's face and told me he's Armenian, as a first impression, I would feel uneasy and just be glad that it's a rare case.

I can agree that Armenians are a rare group within the white race. Even today racial differences seem far less significant due to higher rates of intermixing in western countries. (not necessarily for Armenians but for whites in general)

agreed. Put simply, this notion of race is a marker of Armenian-ness within the greater genepool of the Caucasian Race. It goes hand in hand with our distinct civilization.

Precisely. And this has been my point throughout. It's not that our genetic uniqueness is somehow the end all point of things, but it is a component like any other thing that has made us, well...Armenian.

This is why, as Armenian says, there has to be some Armenian blood component. People can't just "be Armenian" like going in and out of a jump suit.

And people, those of the egalitarian Western persuasions, who seek to downplay race or pretend it does not exist, are suffering from a cognitive dissonance.

They immediately start to veer the discussion by calling people "racist" or "xenophobe" or "narrow-minded", as the resident Siamanto used to do. But such views are simplistic and narrow-minded in themselves.

They are only a reflection of the degenerate Western values that have been imbued on these poor souls in growing up and absorbing these degenerate values, which is now destroying the so-called "West" and rightfully so.

But don't you think part of western value is a devolving of identity from a larger group to a narrower one? A sense of obligation/duty to a greater community no longer exists as a given. Individuals are far more focused on themeselves and as a result less concerned with fulfilling any traditional sense of obligation to a larger group. Regrettably this has extended to a point where even the need to procreate for the purpose of extendng the survival of the family/tribe/nation beyond one's own life is missing.

You hit the nail right on the head with that statement. This is what I tell my family. This is no matter of opinion, it is choosing to see reality rather than to live for earthly comforts and dreams.

In reality, a man's life is worthless masturbation if he is not ready to lay it down for what he believes in, and devotion/sense of obligation to traditions achieve precisely this effect in a man.. This is beyond balls, it is spirit. Either way, modern man seems to lack both.

I read this from Evola today, "Man is a mortal god, and a god, is an immortal man". This is also why in traditional Buddhist belief, one who as attained Buddha-hood (Enlightenment, self-realization) is considered more divine than the greatest gods of the Hindu pantheon, who by nature are fated to perpetuated the same kind of existence, with its strengths and weaknesses, virtues and vices, for all of eternity.

This understanding is not present whatsoever in anything attributable to modern society. Instead, modernism represents a descent into the abyss and eventual self destruction, as you can see in the West. The last remnants of traditional, hierarchical societies where awareness of the supra-natural realm and the gnosis of oneself in it was present in the minds of Westerns disappeared with the Russian Revolution (though, Fascism and Nazism could be seen as attempts to restore, or at least create room in the future again, this kind of consciousness in Europe).

Since then, everything in our society, from art to historiography, science to philosophy, has been pervaded by an alternative consciousness which has been the nemesis of traditionalism since the very first day, modernism. It is devoid of spirit and of the only true justice, that is, of keeping to a hierarchical, non-egalitarian order that will defend itself by silencing those who represent modernity, change, revolutions, a "yearning to become", instead of the more sensible "realization of already being".

Yet traditionalism allows for a plurality of traditional civilization on the Earth. Modern school of thought teaches that traditions are bad, primitive, stupid, unjust. This serves to usher in every new generation of man to conceive of himself as mere flesh and blood, an animal that must learn to make do with social norms. This is where we are now. NWO theorists wonder what is fueling the NWO... little do they realize, it is their own modernistic consciousness.

Don't worry the pendulum keeps swinging.

I have some anti religious views. Despite that most families that my family associates with tend to hold on to traditional family values through religion. I hate to admit it but I think the masses need some dictate to maintain focus.

To keep this discussion focused on our people, I would like to point out that a silent threat to us is demographics. Not so much in how much of our culture we maintain but in the number of people available to do so. I know far to many Armenian couples who feel one child is as much as they can support. Materialism has perverted people's sense of what is truly important in life.

                  Re: Discussion on Armenia's nation/culture/civilization/race

You people above made very intelligent observations. Often times Anonymouse in the recent past kept stressing here and elsewhere the importance for us Armenians to intermarry to preserve our blood and with it our roots, heritage, culture, etc. etc. etc. I feel sometimes that it went into deaf ear and so they shall do what they will do very unfortunately and to our demise. I understand this may not be the place to speak extensively about it but nevertheless in the coming years the very blood of the diasporan Armenians will vanish if today we don't take it seriously and pursue this vitally important goal. It is after all the very existence of our nationality within the parameters of the race.

Very much so. You have aptly described the state of things.
