Just because you think there is no word for SMS in Armenian, it does not mean it doesn't exist. 'People' use a lot of non-Armenian words (mostly English and Russian) in Armenia while there are Armenian equivalents.

The Armenian word for SMS is "կարճ հաղորդաշար" which is a logical, beautiful expression in my opinion. It is being frequently used on Armenian TV (in Armenia). Though the word is a bit long but we'll only get used to it by frequently using it in our every day talks.

    New Word:

    Scholarship

Uh, obviously, which is why I said, 'I think,' meaning, I wasn't sure.

Yeah, it's also extremely sad when they use a bunch of a common English words in a sentence, which could have easily been substituted with its Armenian equivalent. I don't like those 'people.'

It's unbelievable how much English (and very simple English words) is widespread in Armenia today, in daily conversations. It suffices to watch "Vervaratsnern" for just a couple of minutes to notice the distorted Armenian…

You are more or less correct. More accurately, it should be "կրթաթոշակ".

By the way, let's type in Armenian letters!

That show makes me ashamed to be Armenian, believe it or not.
