Re: How to "convert" dormant Armenians to the Hye Tad?
Actually, 100% agree with almost everyone here who bashes those Armenians who don't give a flying xxxx about their nation.
As a diasporan Armenian who was under the spell of the west and who just recently woke up from the hypnosis of the sub-conscient carelessness toward my nation, I can say that all of you who get pissed at the people who are how I was, are right.
I'm an artist. I'm not rich, I cannot contribute to Armenia economically. I speak a kitchen Armenian, and understand Eastern Armenian after watching a video a couple of times. I don't have much to offer to Armenia, but what I have is talent. So I figured, if my work is going to reach somewhere, it's gonna be Armenia.
That's what Armenians lack. Dedication to Armenia. Someone owns a business. Well, the first thing he should think is how he's going to live off it. The second thing he should think is how he will support Armenia with it. Even if it's 1 cent a day, he needs to link his business to Armenia. It should be second nature to Armenians to link everything thy do to Armenia.
We need to make Armenia our personal capital. Visit Armenia, become familiar with it, learn about its culture, invest in it, buy a house there and go there once in a while. If you can, live there and go back to the diaspora once in a while. Ir vortige art ganchum e! We need to ship Armenians back to Armenia, slowly, but surely. That should be the main goal. We need to make Armenia look pleasing to live for Armenians. We should be able to sacrifice some luxury to be able to live simpler lives.
