I love how it's always a problem when Armenian women marry odars, but no one ever mentions how many Armenian men mary odar women.

If you take a sample population of an Armenian community in the diaspora, the women are first to date/marry odars since women generally get married younger (not just in the Armenian community but in general). This leaves the men with no choice. Process of elimination.

I'm pretty sure a large amount of Armenians in Armenia have sex before marriage, which there's nothing wrong with as long as you're careful not to get pregnant or spread STD's.

Why would you assume this if you don't live in those communities?

A lot of odars have sex before marriage but they also end up permanently staying with the person. Consumating a marriage is what makes it a marriage, not the actual ceremony and/or certificate which makes it legal. They just do things out of order due to financial reasons/schooling/career, etc.

I also love again, how when women sleep around they're prostitutes, but when men do, it's ok, even great for their reputation.

Women have always been the ones in any given culture to uphold morals since they are responsible for raising the children. If the men sleep around, it's because the women have failed to teach them morals.

And just because Kim Kardashian might be what you call a whorre, doesn't mean every diasporan girl who has premarital sex is. (Also I'd like to point out that if all the guys Kim K's dated/slept with (even the sex tape guy)were either Armenian or white half the problems most Armos have with her wouldn't even exist.

I doubt that since even non-Armenians, including African Americans makes fun of her. There is such a thing as conservative African Americans who go to church.

It's Armenia's job to be that base, that's the only thing Armenia can do to make sure the Armenian culture survives.

The Americanization of any culture is an automatic death sentence to the existing culture. That's Mos's argument here.

The government needs to make Armenia a place stable enough so that the people who live there don't need to leave to find a better life and good enough that diasporans would want to move there. Why would any diasporan want to move to a country with a poor economy/lower standard of living, and 2 enemies on it's borders, one which we could possibly start another war with us in the near future?

They wouldn't, most are happy just existing, even though they aren't surviving.

so in a sense, Armenian would just become a new sort of melting pot of cultures, like the USA

You'd be surprised how quick an athiest or any other denomination would start absorbing the presence of a homogenous faith since everyone else in the population is representative of it. Just like how quick people become American, the reverse can also be true. However, it would start with the children (obviously). The first step is to denounce the spread of the MTV culture and return to traditional Armenian values.

There is the minority of diasporans who have remained active in helping Armenia, maintaining our culture, and not assimilating. But this minority is small and steadily decreasing. The remaining Armenians are assimilating at a greater rate than other immigrant groups. And their assimilation consists of a lot into black type culture, which is very embarrasing that such people give up such rich culture for such low, crime ridden, and corrupt culture.

i mean the families in lebanon dont allow marriages between christians and muslim not the government.

so lets talk about me.i born in iran and in a Armenian Quarter in Tehran.most of the time armenians only marry armenians there but even when armenians marry a iranian they never forget who they are.one of the reasons i like iran is those Quarters.in those Quarter nothing is iranian.we have armenian restaurants and churches and etc... if there was more places like this in other countries it would be better...

now that im in armenia it just feels that that Quarter get bigger and people removed their scarf.cause the life there was similar to here.and about the scarf thats the one and only problem for armenians in iran.but you dont have to wear 100% muslim like arab countries.just a scarf and a upper cloth long enough to cover your legs as well.like this:

its sucks but at least women dont have to be like arabs

Persian girls are one of the most beautiful, warm hearted, intelligent, and loyal women in the world..........and Mukush man I tell you they can seriously cook, dangerous enough that you could bite your own fingers off while you eat, if you are not careful.

As I have said before, most of the time you can’t tell the difference between an Irani and an Aramane beauty. Also our cultures couldn’t be any closer. Either way it is better to be with an Armenian because of our situation but Persian girls come a very close second for us parskahays. The funny part is that Persian men (and one of my best friends) feel exact the same way about our women.

Yah,I feel the same way. Actualy the Persian women ar nice indid (mostly) and very close to our "arian heart" But well I personaly prefer Armenian women, less hadach with some cultural problems
