Armenia is moving towards EU not backwards middle east. The government ever since independence as declared EU integration the top priority and the government is moving the country towards EU standards. You go to Yerevan the capital of Armenia, and the influence of the West and Europe is evident, in the stores, how people dress, and especially people's mindset which has become more Western, especially among the youth.
Also, the biggest economic partner of Armenia by far is EU.

3) If anything Iranians are stepping back. With their backwards government I don't think a "golden age" is ever coming soon to your country. For a change stop brutally executing women.

4) Most Armenians you've talked to are Iranian-Armenians, or Armenians who lived in Iran, of course they will feel closer to Iranians. In Armenia, Armenians don't feel like they are close to Iranians. ,

Iranian students at the YSU are usually well received by other students and staff.

You will find 'western' influences in every country around the world, including Iran. Actually many Iranian women are fashionably dressed, sometimes better than western women!

There are those in the EU wishing to move to North Africa (rich in oil and gas), and of course to Turkey. When did these regions become part of Europe? And Cyprus, a short distance from Lebanon and Syria has been considered the Middle East

The world is soon to change and Armenia will be part of its revival, alongside Iran. My Azari, Armenian and Iranian brothers will soon enough set course to the new Golden Age of prosperity in the Near-East.

So forget any racial, religious or cultural barriers between us and accept our eternal brotherhood.

In Armenia, Armenians don't feel like they are close to Iranians. I really don't know how many times I have to say this to you. We just view you as the Muslim people who are our neighbours to the south, that come as tourists and bring a lot of money. Nothing more nothing less. I say this as a fact.

Iran as a country is a good country for us economically, though I despise the human rights violations and the theocracy in the end of the day we are good economic partners with them. That doesn't make us brothers either, just makes us solid trading partners.

Any Armenian from Armenia will trust ex-Soviet people over any other people, just because we all have for a few generations grown up in this Soviet culture with which we all can identity. It's in a way a dual culture to an extent even today. My father for example spoke more Russian at home than Armenian when growing up, and received his education in Russian all throughout.

So maybe western armenians see this close friendship with Iranians, but not eastern armenians. truthfully they are just neutral for us, nothing bad, just not close friends. And I see this firsthand when sometimes translating for Iranians in Armenia, and seeing how our Armenians deal with them. It's not as brothers, or close friends, it's just a respectable but neutral relationship. Nothing much in common to talk about or relate to, just the business of tourism.

To those who don't feel that we Iranians/Azari's are brothers to you, you should realize that this is the same problem with the regime in Israel, Palestinians and Jеws share common race and have cultural similarities but can't get over their differences.

We need to embrace our similarities versus what makes us different, if you wish to be akin to principles of isolationism and extreme-nationalism for whatever reason whether it be lack of pride or plain stupidity just know that it will not help you one bit in our changing world.

The world is changing, the Old World Order is coming to an end, the West is falling and the East will in the near future dominate once again, we need to face the reality and the reality is that Iran is the natural hegemon of the Near East, we must learn to deal with it and accept it as the true alternative whether it be secular in the future or stays an Islamic Republic to the materialistic ideals of the West. Also remember that Iran (even the ancient Persia) was/is a very multi-ethnic nation where every recognized minority can be a proud Iranian.

Armenians have in common more with their Iranian "brothers" than any other nation.

These are all valid points. Iranians I have met have been very friendly, welcoming people.

Anyone who wants to be a brother, Iranian, Russian, Kurdish even Turkish or Tatar should be welcomed

And of course there might be a friendship on personal levelwit turks. Lets do not forget that there are turks who did much more for our cause than many Armenians.... Doesn't mean that turks are good people in general ofcours... turks are turks... but there are humans even among turks... And what turks realy are? Anatolians? There is more Armenian and Greek blood in them than any other.... the sad thing is what is trheir mentality...
