MEN & BEASTS / History makes sense only if we assume mankind has been at the mercy of bloodthirsty savages.*We owe wars and massacres not to reasonable men but to systematically moronized charlatans.*Politicians who pretend to know better cannot be said to be guided by reason but by the mindset of cornered rats.*No jackass has ever kicked another jackass to prove God is great.*Life makes sense only if we assume the 1% are a criminal gang like the mafia. The rest is propaganda.*As for men like Socrates, Jesus, and Gandhi: None of them died in bed.#

Re: men / beasts
ON A QUINTESSENTIALLY ARMENIAN ABERRATION*************************************** We have all met the arrogant ignoramus who, justbecause he knows something about Armenians youdon’t know, says with an air of self-satisfactionbordering on triumph: “And you call yourself anArmenian?” *Asserting superiority even onflimsiest of grounds must be a quintessentiallyArmenian need. *One reason why we have allowed theGenocide to become a collective addiction is thatit allows us a sense of moral superiority. *There is even a type of writer who, after writing aboutthe Genocide, finds it extremely difficult towrite about anything else. Writing about Turks, atrocities, and lies makes them feel morallysuperior, and the need to feel morally superioris especially pronounced in bastards.#

AND GOD CREATED
PREDATORS
******************************
Why did He?
That’s a question for theologians.
*
What’s theology?
The study of the Unknown and the Unknowable.
A harmless racket.
It has claimed millions of innocent lives.
*
Our history was shaped by alien predators.

NOTES / COMMENTS
*********************************
Genocide is not an aberration
but the rule.
*
If Turks are guilty of “red” genocide
we are guilty of its “white” variant.
*
Our greatest blunder:
to believe in the fundamental decency
of the 1%.
*
The 1% are swine
regardless of race, color, and creed.
*
Everybody loves God
but no one can read His mind.
*
You don’t believe what I say?
Get used to it.

You tell me I repeat myself
because I have run out of new ideas,
and I say, what’s the use of new ideas
if nobody gives a damn about old ones?
*
In some dictionaries, I am told,
the word “genocide” is listed
as a synonym of “victory.”
*
During anti-Kurdish demonstrations in Istanbul,
some angry demonstrators were heard
shouting the slogan:
“We don’t want massacres. We demand genocide.”

BENExxxxTORS
************************************
I once had the following conversation with one of
our publishers:
“I have had phone calls saying I should stop
publishing you,” he began.
“By whom?” I wanted to know.
“By Jack S. Avanakian,” he replied.
“You mean the same Jack S. Avanakian who happens
to be the personal secretary of one of our
national benefactors?”
“The very same.”
“Are you going to follow his instructions?”
“Of course not!”
But he did. Shortly thereafter he stopped
publishing me. What changed his mind? I have no
idea and he never explained. But I can’t help
remembering Brecht’s celebrated slogan: “Grub
first, then ethics.”
