Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Persian Armenian simply means that they are Armenians that live in or came from Iran (Like my dad). it has to do with nationality, not a thing to do with blood or ethnicity.

And speaking of teh havs, the best way to describe their behavior is that they have very hyper voices with very lazy bodies, which means they sound really excited when in reality they are not. Eh, but you gotta love 'em...

she has a point, if you use that term outside l.a. or california people will assume you're half one and half the other...it only makes sense in armenian...lmao as far as the cosmetic surgeon, haha...who knows why he did that? maybe he experienced discrimination, but living in l.a. he should know better than that (if he's trying to hide his ethnicity) he might fool someone from kansas or alabama who've never heard of armenians, but it's kind of silly imo to do that here...not all last names sound better if they're shortened..some do but not all, not his

I know what it means you brute! I am just saying your terminology gives us other people the wrong impression because in English it is butt backwards just like the islamic and persian culture that exists! STop saying "Lebanese Armenian" or "Persian Armenian" that term really is doltish since it stemmed from a doltish person from the start. There is no "persian armenian" you are an Armenian from Iran and location does not change whom you are born as.

I will love them the day they all start showing respect not resorting to childish measures that obstruct all Armenians as a whole just to get their selfish desire. It is time to grow up and they need to see that but don't get me wrong some Armenians from Iran are really aware of this and do not do this sort of nonsense.

Oh yes thank you for acknowledging that finally. AS for that surgeon, uhhh him changing a few letters on his name is still no excuse for his stupidity by trying to alter his whole culture and who he really is to fit into a few rednecks' minds. Everyone experienced discrimination. It really means and does no good for him to do that and you think just because he is a coward with no loyalty now, that people will not see him as "armenian" and discriminate again?HAH think again. If a dullard is going to discriminate just based upon his envy of his ethnicity then he will do this regardless of what his name is. The feeble minded attempt to assimulate in that cowardly fashion portray these islamic infidels with no dignity and that really does and never did help either. Which comes to my final point:

If they were calling him before "Damn that Armen Vartanian Armo loser" then

they are still referring to him as that negative insult of now
"damn that Armen Vartany Armo loser"

See observe the lack of difference. Therefore, lying to yourself STILL will not save you from the IGNORANCE that is out there today meaning he is a moron for doing such things.

haha precisely why Cher goes without a last name..what is she gonna reduce it to? Cher Sarkis? instead of Sarkissian? besides i've heard/read that she had a 'blond complex' as a child and thought she was an ugly duckling since her mom is blond and her sister is also blond...i got pissed off when i read that! we have a lot of beautiful armenian brunettes; but she thought the definion of "beauty" was being blond and having "pinky white" skin instead of her olive complexion; she is a beautiful woman, i don't understand what her problem was/is? i've always been very proud and very happy with the armenian dark eye fair skin dark hair look

Ugh, if I ever have to hear about Cher again, i swear... if there is one confused little victim of an elektra complex who likes to whine to people about it through her music that I'm sick of, it's her.

And you could have just told me who Andre Agassi is instead of insulting me... again.

There is no "dark eye look" to Armenians. That occurred mainly because there was contact with the darkies from the middle east and turks. Armenians are like Greeks and that is the end of that, wake up already.

She stooped to that sort of dignity less behavior because she was thinking the same way her shallow minded surroundings were which is what many Armenians do. They think all about the wrong ways to "fit in" when little do they realize that they are not going to fit in by being another clone of some Anglo girl.

By the way, Armenians are not originally "olive skinned" we have established that before. Cher is another disgrace to the culture I say because her face now is more cutless than a Thanksgiving Day turkey. You Armenians come from a colder climate which barely sees a lot of sun, therefore you are not logically speaking, "dark." Get over that bs notion already you are not going to woo anyone with it, really.

Hyebruin and Hyejinx, that which you both must be because you still have not realized that I am saying IT WOULDNT MATTER IF YOU CHANGE OR BUTCHER YOUR NAMES TO ANGLO NAMES BY CUTTING OFF THE SUFFIX because your Armenian NESS is already present within the first syllable of the damn name. LOL I dont need your damn "yan ian" crap to see if you are Armenian. Cher is a good example of what high level of stupidity unfortunately exists among Americanized Armenians. You deem yourself to be a bigger idiot than you already are if you think that you will trick others into having us think "You are not armenian" by resorting to such loser-tag along ways.

For your information guys: Cher is HALF Armenian HALF Native American mutt Anglo mixed.

Cher was never really "blonde" unless you mean she was stupid, than I might agree.
