What the hell is that? I just typed "karabakh" into google's image search and this came up, but the website it was attached to wouldn't load.

So... why are there big heads in the middle of the field?

It's a statue monument thing in Artsakh, its called Hayreeg and Mayreeg. It's pretty big and more redish I think though.

"Tatik Papik" or "Mamig Babig" (Grandmother and Grandfather), it was made during the time of the Soviet Union times by a sculptor named Sarkis Baghdasarian, he names it "We Are Our Hills" (it was inagurated by then communist leader Heydar Aliyev). It's the reddish tint due to doof-kar which is a reddish rock that is abundant in Armenia.

This monument always makes me think about the human head crafted in stone we see on easter island....maybe they were ancient armenians lol

haha go in it. Those heads on easter island are pretty famous. The entire island doesnt have a supply of rock that big. And the entire island is covered w/ them.
