lol I just bought it. Peter is a great author. His Black Dog of Fate is a also a great read, though not specifically about the genocide.

I remember reading Black Dog of Fate. I didn't finish it, and I don't remember if I liked it or not. By the way, there were Jooz in it, for all you Joo freaks on here.

Ditto for me too. It's on its way to me now. There must be a surplus about, based on the number of cheap new copies on sale on ebay.

Personally I think he is a indifferent author, and an bland poet. But, since "The Burning Tigris" is supposed to be non-fiction, all he has to be for this book is a good editor.

How much of the book is personal stories and how much of it is government documents?

Balakian is disgrace to our survival.

Another unsubstantiated claim by Ace Lusavorich?

I'm not a fan either - I only read half of Black Dog of Fate and never finished it. It didn't have any cerebral assassins. Such a disappointment.

Black Dog of Fate starts out a bit slow, I wasn't really interested too much in his childhood - I expected a book on the Genocide right from the get go, but half way through it, after he starts talking about his aunts and Grandma, it picks up.

Anyway, that fool doesnt read and write in Armenian, nor does he speak it, nor did he marry an Armenian girl.

Isn't he suppose to be the "chairman for Genocide Survivors" - I wouldnt really call what he is "survival." More like a victim.

Forgetting your mother tongue is the same as betraying your nation.
