I finnaly recieved in the mail today my "special residency status" Armenian passport! I applied for it through the Armenian Embassy in Washington DC about 4-5 months ago in order to facilitate a long-term stay in Armenia. Since dual citizenship is not offered yet, this is the next best thing. Anyway, I booked my flight and I'll be leaving next week to Yerevan for an initial 5 week stay. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and post them when I get back.

The application process was not difficult, but the wait was long. It took about 5 months to actually get the passport in my hand.
