Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

And I'm from Laval, which is in the Greater Montreal area.

You eventually get used to the winter cold. The summer isn't really different from what you get down south.

Ok, more drama I know. I am a dramatic person. I care too much. But I will tell you, because I am honest. I would just appreciate it if no one goes about making negative comments about my explanation:I chose the name sad eyes because of the expression that the eyes are the window to the soul. I am not a happy person so when soemthing comes my way, I hold on to it with all my might, but in most cases it goes away. I am passionate about my morals, about what I believe is right and wrong and as I look about at the world today, it truely leaves me in dismay. Rape, poverty, homelessness, murders, wars, sex violence, everything. I cant believe that God (yes, I am a christian) would want this for us. And that we would create such an arrogant atmosphere of life. The fact that billions of dollars are being spent to create machienes that kill people as opposed to providing some of the poorer countries, the ones where children are dying every single hour, with food, clean water and educations is heartbreaking. The fact that some people live to make others lives misserable, the fact that people can kill without remorse or compassion. It seems no one cares about anything other than themselevs anymore. I see it on a daily basis here in the town I live in, and on the news as well. I mean, is this really life? I cant believe how selfish so many people are. The other day I seen a kid fall of his bike here downtown. He scraped his knee. He was crying. Sure its just a skinned knee and I know he wasnt going to die or anything but everyone just stood and stared. I went and asked if he was ok. And yesterday on the city bus, a mentally challeged women came onto the bus, when the bus went over a bump she fell and hit her head on the metal siding. She got up and was crying. Everyone just staired its almost as if they were affraid to help her because she was mentally challenged. Oh and another time a really old woman came onto the bus. Highschool students filled up all the seats, and were taking up most of the walk way by hanging on to the bars. So there she was, this short old woman trying to cling on to the bar as if it were her life, no one offered her a seat so I got up and gave her mine. Its retarted, I cant believe how ignorant soo many people are. I am labled as a dreamer even by my own family. Everyone here seems to look down on me because I care about others. I feel like a sheep amongst wolves. Pardon the expression but I am "beat up" on and made fun of constantly for my respect for others. I was raised to treat everyone as they were my family. I was put into the hospital once in highschool because me and my brother were friends. We hung out at school together etc. All that because it wasnt conciderd "cool." I get "oh, shes a lesbian" comments all the time now because I link arms with my mother when we walk, or even a friend of mine. I have 1 friend. 1 because I find it hard to meet people who truley understand and value what a friendship is. I feel really lonely all the time. Its like I am being punnished by everyone for caring....I dont think its wrong. Its who I am and it wont ever change...

Re: Who Here is from Canada?

I've never heard of such a lowlife environment... I have to admit, I see a lot of people around here too, who don't show acts of compassion. We're disoriented when the scenario calls for it. It's like, "Hey, that person's bleeding... But they'll be alright, I mean, I don't need to help them. I should just stay put and keep cool."

          It's like a free-for-all.

The only time people learn, is when they hit rock bottom. When Montreal had the Ice Storm in 98, and power was out for the whole area of Greater Montreal, and more, for a week or two, people started helping eachother and sharing... Neighbours actually started getting together, and a sense of community was forged, for the sake of survival. I mean, no power, little food, roads were dangerous... I remember when these huge icicles started melting and crashing onto the floor... Huge! Like 4 feet long! If those hit you, you'd be seriously injured!

It was such a weird time, nothing made sense anymore, so we had to stick together until it was over.

Perhaps your community needs a healthy kick in the arse too!

Your lifestyle and beliefs will bring you pain, because you chose to feel the agony of all the things around you. If you abandon them, your huge heart will disappear and create a void inside of you. Once you have a void, it's hard to grow back your heart.

I chose the void... It's seldom when I feel with the heart I used to have, but when I experience these rare moments now, I feel lucky.

I understand how you feel, and yes, people think for themselfvs these days, unfortunately. Women have become more independant, therefore, most of the time, they will either take advantage of you, or just use you. Same goes for men too. Its all messed up now, but what can you do? just live life day by day. There's nohting you can do to solve the worlds problems, unfortunatly. There will always be the wrong people in power that will ***** it up. Like my Bagel for instance. I asked for a Everything Bagel, lighty buttered and toasted. What do i get? Everything bagel lightly toasted with extra butter.

                  Don't you love Tim Hortons???

We're running out of Dunkin Donuts around here, they taste more exotic now that they're outnumbed by Tim Hortons 20:1 or something :P (Montreal area at least).
