Well the trouble for diaspora Armenians is that it takes ages to explain new people, what, where, who or why Armenians are!!!

I've seen a lot of Armenians that look like you, and a lot that don't. For only having between 8-12 million Armenians in the world there are still quite a number of differences between us depending on what part of Armenia we or our ancestors came from.

sometimes it also depends on how many non-Armenian Christians there are in one's family tree (one familiar example, diasporans in arab countries have sometimes married Christian arabs and continued to be known as Armenians through language use and religion in subsequent generations).

Many Armenians married Assyrians and even Alevite-Kurds.

However in MY family wea are all from Christian-Orthodox ( some Greek) tradition!!!

consult any (mainstream) scholarly journals/articles to realise that any subsequent persianisation of the Armenian language, culture and ethnology is nothing natural, but merely a by-product of barbaric Iranian imperial aggression directed towards the geo-politically central Armenian Highlands.

There are Armenians in Armenia that prefer to speak Russian, that wear red and idolize Lenin, and there are some that marry Iranians.
