He was the 'Jesus' for ignorant peasants. I have never seen or heard of a well exposed well educated Armenian praising Vazgen. And what happened in the parliament was much more than three thugs simply walking in.

In the sea of nagative and posionous talk general perspective is essential. I am a Diasporan Armenian. I have lived in Armenia only months at a time. A majority of my friends are Yerevantis and I have close relatives who lived in Yerevan for many decades. So, trust me, I know the good the bad and the ugly about the nation. I am not living in la-la land, yet at the same time, I am not inot destructive talk either.

Good or bad, Kocharyan and company are the best we have right now. And the mere fact that he is still alive is clear testimony that the country's elite, its social structure, as well as Russia and Iran are pleased with him.

I hope you are not one of those ignorant low lives who bad mouth Artsakhtsis. Artsakhtsis took control in Yerevan during the worst political period in Armenia. No one gave them the power, they took it themselves. Had Yerevantsis been a bit more ideologically driven and organized perhaps they would be in control today. However, we saw what happened when Yerevantis were in control during the "levon" years.

Thank God for Kocharyan, Sarkisian and Voskanian. The worst thing for Armenia right now is to have a revolution of sorts. If one takes the likes of you seriously, the nation will fall apart and become victim to the region's superpower politics. As long as some of you can do nothing but complain and ask for handout, don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Yerevan, Yerevantsi, Yerevan...is all i hear...i suggest you to talk to some people outside of Yerevan and anyone visitng Armenia for few months with pockets full of green will be in a good place...why don't you go there and try buying a nice car, building a house, try opening up a business, try making a leaving over there and tell me how you think of your lovely Kocharyan and his buddies...you will feel right at home until KGB knocks on your door
