  • Learn Eastern Armenian

Came across a great site, the software which you download has only 17 lists (animals, greetings, months etc) all with pictures and sounds.

It's alright if your just a beginner you can also sus out the other languages if you wish.

Byki is no longer available for language learning. Still want to learn? Check out the 110+ languages in Transparent Language Online.

Is it hard to understand even without the slang?

I speak Western but I don't have any difficulty understanding the reporters on Haylur or Horizon TV.

Either you are pretending not to understand or you simply need to take some courses in Armenian. One, who knows either of the dialects, can certainly understand the other one. Yes, there are some vocabulary or grammar differences but definitely not an obstacle to understanding… after all they are two dialects of one language.

Its not like I dont understand it just sounds awkward from the Armenian I am used to hearing. Trust me I dont need any courses in Armenian, its been my first language and I have spoken in it my whole life (home and my friends and extended family).

Father was western, mother eastern. I am not perfect by any means. I can speak to either and don't see a bog differance either. Hayastansi Hays think I am from Hayk. (Armenia). I love em both.

God Bless the Hayk from every where.
