Of the 1.5 million who died, the majority were cattle who did not know how to fight. If you don't know how to fight, you are cattle, it doesn't matter where you live, what race you are or what sense of "moral honour" you extract from your religion.

If Antranik could only muster 200,000 Armenians out of the 2 million (10% of our pop in Turkey at the time) to fight back, there would have been no genocide, and there would not have been a Turkey today as we know it. Instead, he only had 6,000 Fedayeen, and so, we lost. Then, the Turks inflated this small number into the 200,000 men we should've had, the 200,000 men who would've utterly meant a death sentence to Pan-Turkism right then and there, way before 1918.

We Armenians haven't changed so much since then, as only a minority of us realize this situation and know what must be done to protect our race effectively from future annihilation.

It is sad, but I must agree...

Let me disagree with you. Turks have considered us as a cattle. But we never were cattle. That why we fought back. And what we do is exactly trying to prove to the world that we were not and we are not cattle. Comparing AG with slavery is proving exactly the contrary.

Well, I'm not quite sure they are trying to make a direct comparison between the Armenian Genocide and African-American slavery. They are drawing parallels how both races were oppressed in their respective countries and the long term psychological effect is has had to their race and humanity in general. Just as Armenians cannot be people with self determination while under the rule of other powers, the African-Americans in the same sense have no power to determine their own future.

If there was ever a movement so strong that African-Americans united and demanded their own state, which they, and only they have rule over what kind of impact would that have to the United States? Don't the descendants whose ancestors slaved in fields and factories to make America the wealthy and powerful country it is today deserve to be compensated for with land and reparations for centuries of unjust treatment?

- 2/ Armenians were never slaves ? What is a slave ? A slave is a free person who has been captured and then a victim of an important system of alienation. There must be web pages about revolts of slaves against this system. I know for French West Indies.

This Mukuch guy just has a touch of Armenian Culture and thus he behaves like this. In Europe, at least we have a historical experience more important than in the USA. How did these racist guys behave with particular circumstances in Europe ? In the Soviet Union, they became KGB members and in occupied France by Germany, they collaborated with the nazis.

My wife and i met up with another armenian couple the other night at a bar/restaurant that all four of us had been to before. Last time they had a pretty cool band playing and we figured they would have the same thing again so we were expecting a bunch of white people and a decent band. When we got there we were the only non-blacks there and as time went by the place got filled to the hilt and still we were the only white people there. Instead of a band they had a DJ that night so i was disapointed untill he started playing his tune. The DJ turned out to be freakin awsome he had the whole place dancing all night with great music and everyone including us non-blacks were having a great time drinking good booz, eating decent food and partying down to some great music. We had a better time that night then the last time we were there. Racism is a ugly thing and it sadens me to see racists in this forum. Racism is simply a product of ignorence and nothing else.

Sure both us and blacks have suffered in many ways but thats life. You pick up and move on instead of dwelling on tragic events which both blacks and armenians do. If you can get justice then great if not, then you dont make it your excuse, you move on!
