Dear Members,
Read this article by a 'so-called' PhD... on the Khojali incident, that the author has decided to characterize as a 'Genocide'. What a slap in the face to the victims of Rwanda, Cambodia, Darfur, and of course the Armenian Genocide amongst others! What nerve and lack of education must it take for someone to try to characterize the event as 'Genocide', has he lost his marbles? After reading the article, ask yourselves the below questions with respect to the United Nations Genocide Convention.
Now, read the definition of Genocide as the United Nations characterizes it and ask yourselves if an event that took place in one evening claiming the lives of 600 people could even remotely be considered an attempt "to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group"?
No? It doesn't hold water? I didn't think so either. I should have you know that I have attempted to contact the executives at "BakuToday.net" with a 'dear editor' regarding this pathetic excuse for journalism, and my e-mails have gone unanswered.
How rediculous that Azeri's are so out of creativity for their absurd propaganda, they have to start twisting and turning UN definitions of inhumane acts to fit their claims. Courtesy of Hellektor, we now have textual evidence of this Azeri formulated story.
