    • You know how many times I was called Gavur in Turkey

In all my times in Turkey I have never heard of anything like that. Infact the 27million plus tourists to Turkey each year(the vast majority Christians) dont complain about harassment. Infact the Christian tour groups alway have successful trips to Turkey - the visit things like the birth place of Mary, etc...

I was born there I lived ..there dont tell me what I was called punk!

I'm not a facist, infact you calling me a facist just proved that you are actually a facist racist. Just like Kanye West accused George Bush being a racist just proved that he himself is a racist.

I have never heard and seen such a mistreatment against Armenians or others in Turkey. I think you had a special experience. Actually, many things that were talked here about Turkish, seem to me a bit odd. I suspect now, do I really live in Turkey?

I hope you didn't have the type of attitude like "I'm smarter then them"....

This is crazy. First Armenians are claiming that they dont get into the best schools because of their religion and names but Gavur you seem to forget that millions of Turkish women cant get into higher education because of who they are.

                    • Aydiner Pleads No Contest, Gets Life Sentence

                      By Brian Barker
                      and KATU Web Staff

PORTLAND, Ore. - The man accused of murdering a young woman at the University of Portland in 2001 pleaded no contest to the killing on Friday and was sentenced to life in prison.

Deniz Aydiner had been accused of murdering Kate Johnson, whose body was found inside her dormitory room at the University of Portland on May 29, 2001. She had been brutally assaulted and strangled the night before.

It took investigators two and a half years to make an arrest in the case. The break came when test results from DNA evidence showed a match to Deniz Aydiner, a Turkish national.

Aydiner was arrested at Portland International Airport in January 2004 while returning from a trip to Turkey.

Up until now, Aydiner's plea was not guilty, but this week word came out that he planned on changing that plea to guilty.

Aydiner will be eligible for parole in 35 years at the age of 67. If he gets out, he would be immediately deported to Turkey and never allowed to return to the United States.
