                  Jan is Can that we use in Turkish.

                  I heard that Armenians also use Jiger, in Turkish ciger, which means liver but it is used to show sincerity, like you are my Jiger, I think it is same as saying you are my heart, but it would be only used for somebody you are in love with, you can use Jiger for your friends.

                  I think the word is originally Persian.

                    Dude, Jan/Janik/Jigar are all Iranian. We use them because of our close history with ancient Persia. These Turks have a labguage that is sooooooooooo primitve that they have to borrow 90 % of their vocabulary from Arabs, Persians, Europeans, Armenians, Greeks to make any sense. Turkish without Arabic Persian, Latin, etc, the same as talking jibberish.

                      Yes it may be Persian.But it is hard to know these things isn't it?
