Originally posted by hititePhantom, how do you see Turkey accepting the A.G.? As somebody who has lived in Turkey can you please tell us what steps the Armenian Diaspora are taking to have this accomplished. What sort of reaction is the Diaspora expecting and how will this bring Turkey closer to recognition?

No, not really. It does not matter one bit whether or not turkey recognizes the AG, in fact, it's better if they don't. turkey will soon disappear as a bad memory, just like the ottoman empire. What turkey and its friends have been doing are going to come back on them like a boomerang.First Rule of Battle: KNOW YOUR ENEMY

These are loaded questions, aren't they?) you may just find a monolith of nationalist extremists of all sorts before you.
Phantom thanks for the response. Of course its up to Turkey to open dialogue but this word in itself implies that there are two parties involved, otherwise it would be a monologue so this means Armenians are part of the cake too. I still think the whole thing shold be depolitisized. So when you say Turkey should grow up I assume you are talking about the government, but IMHO that is not the way to a solution... if there is a problem of course since for some or many Turkey is at the verge of becoming a "bad memory" before it evaporates into thin air and joins their ancient masters of the Dark Side.

Re thats posted allready in the beginning of this thread also read opinion of chomsky following that post."All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident."
