Turks, a bastard-people (a mix of everything)

If not a minority, then they should be designated as fully 1ranked citizens as Kurds.
That means that the 2 supreme peoples in Turkey are Turks and Kurds, if we apply your logica. This is currently the same as in Iraq.
What I meant is that Kurds can be granted some kind of autonomy or that they will be a minority people. This just means they are not the majority people.

Why Turkey has to treat their citizen differently? Do Americans stamp their indians, irish, scotish citizens as 1st or second clas citizens. None of these people boms their home land, Indinans doe not aks for half of Newada.......These are for small timers and thinkers like the Armenians and Kurds. Good LUck to them. I see only one place that thew will get what they want...in hell.

You know I am not the autority, if I were dukkan senin but unfortuenly I am not.

The problem is to improve democracy. I dont think we should only focus on Kurdish rights, but we need a general balanced approach to rights in general.
We cant solve the problem just only looking at Kurdish rights or Laz rights or women's rights etc. I mean if you have a heart problem, you cant totally relieved by fixing your blood sugar only. A general rehabilitation is needed.

By calling Kurds as minority I believe their status is drawn bacwards not improved. And rights on paper dont mean much, I believe concordance in society is much more important, and I dont think this'll be achieved by officially calling Kurds as minority.

About the mother tongue issue, my personal opinion is that Kurdish and Laz languages could've been taught to everyone in Turkey. We learn lots of languages, French English etc, even Greek in universities, why not Kurdish or LAzish or Bosnian?

Also I think Armenian langauge and culture should also be taught in Universities. You see there are lots of Armenians who are pretty much fluent in Ottoman language(as scholars), we also need scholars who have in dept knowledge of Armenian and Armenian culture in order to research in Armenian archives and Armenian documents, which I believe is of grave importance. YOu probably know of Yektan Yilmaz and what happened to him while he was detained for no reason(actually to threaten about his thesis topic) in Yerevan last summer. He learned Armenian by his own effort, but thats not enough. We have to conduct our own research and see if they match with what they say, we cant just simply accept their archival research as it is right?

Anyways in conclusion if an average Turkish citizen could've udnerstood Kurdish the world wouldnt explode, and Turkish society will become stronger not weaker and also on the contrary PKK and other terrorists and anti-Turkish groups in Europe and elsewhere will have hard time to feed their propoganda machine.

If we(Kurds) aren't minority,then at least give our human rights which includes learning and searching mother language and some other cultural rights.
By saying you are not minority,you shouldn't prevent our human rights.

I agree Turq. Further level in democracy and cultural rights are the issues that we all have to focus. Thus, reforming our educational institutions for learning Kurdish, Laz, Bosnian, Albanian, Armenian, Circassian (and others desired) as the community languages are important. In that regard, I also wonder why those British, French and Americans have their high schools and universities in Turkey when the Kurds and others could not, this is simply not logical.

I agree, I would have preferred to learn Kurkish instead of French of Italian. Laz or Armenian could have been my second choice though.

Well, my friend, I dont follow the principles of a particular religion, but I respect all of them since I respect people's beliefs.

I am interested in Armenian, Kurdish and other community languages of Anatolia, and I wish that we had a chance to learn at least one of them when we were kids at the secondary schools.

Your lucky an Armenian revised Turkish which makes it easyer to learn all the latin languages and a huge part of that language was comprised of Arabic and persian words but i heard unfortunitaly they cleared lots of those words which is a shame.
