I would like to tell my opinions about this forum. Understanding that this site is serving for a great job. Here is a place of people who don’t like Turks and a place for talking about their hatred. Therefore, they quit here with a great relax I think. That is, instead of going a doctor, they are trying to cure their sickness here for free.
Giving up to make joke, as it can be easily understood that people (non-Turks) who come here are exactly angry or filled with hatred or do not like Turks for some reason(s). They are here in order to show all negative aspects of Turkey both its past and current. The world, however, is facing with much more important problems today. It does not mean everyone should give up the Armenian Genocide Forum (or Critique of Turkey Forum) and be interested in the biggest problems of the world of today. They should of course continue with their critiques. And besides, knowing that we cannot also expect healty critiques from an internet forum for all times as well.
And yes, I am agree with that today’s states which have imperial past can easily be criticized. When the empires withdrawn from the soils of the other nations, they leaved many displeased people behind. And in the all empires, the other nations were mistreated generally by the majority. But of course there must be special critiques for some events such as genocides. For instance, someone can write many negative things about the past of Great Britain Empire. Or let’s look at American history for a while. It is full of fails, mistakes and lies of Presidents. I read an article written in an American magazine (The Progressive) dated April 10, 2006. The article is about how many lies were told by American Presidents so as to occupy somewhere or start a war. Those lies begin from the occupation of Mexica (maybe earier I don’t remember exactly) to the occupation of Iraq. Try to remember the date that was before Iraq occupation. Many photographs about Iraq, taken by satellites, were shown. Those photographs showed us that there were the centers of hazardous chemical productions for killing people in Iraq. Most people in USA supported the Iraq occupation but the support is very little now. Yet it has been understood now, this was a lie. Or someone can talk about the oppression of Bulgarians on Turks and immigrations of Bulgarian-Turks to Turkey in recent years. Or someone can talk about what did the PKK supporters in Turkey a few weeks ago. Children were used as shields agains the police.
No I am not trying to change the subject or to be an advocate for Turks. The subject has been always being changed. The subject is not always Armenian Genocide here, the subject is Critique of Turkey, as much as I see.
