  • The 1,500,000 Signatures Petition

The 1,500,000 Signatures Petition campaign is the first of its kind on the long ‎history of the Internet. Never before has there been such a grassroots effort to collect such a large number of signatures. Our goal is to collect ‎‎1,500,000 signatures (the same number of the Armenians who lost their lives during the ‎Genocide) before April 20 2007‎ and send the petition to (1) the United Nations; (2) the ‎countries that still didn’t recognize the Genocide; (3) and all major Human Rights ‎organizations around the world. To achieve our goal, we have created this website as the driving force for a massive email promotional campaign. Please sign ‎the petition and help promote it so that we may reach our lofty goals with this project.

Also, in order to make the promotion easier, we have created a tell a friend ‎page, where you can send the petition link to your friends and family. Thank you for your support in getting the proper world-wide recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

‎After more then 90 years, the Genocide that took the lives of 1,500,000 people is still unrecognized by many countries. By signing the petition, you are moving the Genocide Recognition one step closer.‎

Please go to www.petition1915.org and sign the Armenian Genocide Recognition Petition and forward this invitation to your friends.

Well, now some guys say that this site might be a fake one, created by Turks for spamming...Is there any way to find out?

Online petitions almost never produce results.

I agree but I want to give it out to my husbands friends. And they are not Armenians. Many of them probably have never even heard about Genocide.Just don't want them to get into problem if it is a spam. But a friend confirms it is a real one.

It seems a genuine site, I signed a couple of days ago and no adverse reactions yet!
However, at the moment less than 30,000 have signed, woefully short with only a few weeks to the deadline. Shame.

Online petitions don't tend to produce results, but they can help towards a result............Rome wasn't built so quickly.....

If all opportunities are taken and maximised pressure will tell in the end.

I don't see how that is possible.

Some people were concerned that the site was actually set up by Turks so as to flood the petition signers with spam but this is actually not the case based on further investigation
