You keep referring to reason but what does your heart tell you? What does your heart need?
We can convince ourselves that everything involving religion is a crock but if the essence of religion is a real calling of the heart that feels its connection with higher consciousness, can this need be fed through reason?
You keep thinking I am asserting the necessity of some blind obedience to "right and wrong." This is not the case. I feel the same as Simone and so many others you are unaware of.
You are very aware of these superficial affirmations and negations but contemplation through becoming open doesn't seem to interest you but is part of the effort to "Know Thyself."
Do you not see the preconception in the word fallacious? I read a strong emotional attitude. A simple doubt doesn't define the point in question initially as fallacious which denies the open mind.
It looks as though you may have been experimenting with such things that were not right at the time. But on the other hand the depth of Armenian civilization offers insights into higher consciousness and meaning that I feel as an Armenian.

Click on the encyclopedia and topics will come up. Look at some of the ancient art work. A person can "feel" its meaning. This is beyond reason.
You can call it naive but I find it profound. I would even like to begin to correspond with this man. I can see from his essay on symbols that he understands a few things. I'm sorry but the glories of Burger King will never feed the heart as some of these treasures still being unearthed and the meanings they hold within them can.
