Guys, question. Can I upload a few songs for ya'll? Believe it or not, I have about 6-7000 right now, I'm a bit extreme when it comes to music. It's my other half. There's Greek, Turkish, English, Armenian, Indian, etc. I don't just take anything I can get my hands on though (most of the time), I sort out and collect my favorite music. It's a hobby of mine, started a long time ago.
DAMN, sorry guys, no wonder no one replied . I just wanted to upload a great song but then realized you can't attach more then about a 100KB with a post. Maybe rapidshare or some other site can help me? Anyways, the songs everyone posted seem to be great. Too bad I can't hear them .

Here is a good site for Armenian songs, enjoy. I'll provide some other sites probably in my next post.

Maybe we should try to keep the songs non-political.

Hi Edoman, I was surprised that you cannot stand Turkish music because it means you also cannot stand many of Armenian music. Similar musical scales, similar instruments, similar lyrics, vocals etc. I think you should reconsider your claim

I'll try to translate, everybody is welcome to correct my quick (and probably wrong) translation

                Gel Gel (Come Come)

Ay gibisin mübarek doğdun yarı geceme (You're like a holy moon rose up in my night)
Gir şu garip gönlüme sultanım ol gel gel gel (Enter to my poor heart and be my sultan, come come)
Sustu benim dillerim kilit vurdun heceme (My tongue is mute, you put a lock on my words)
Sensiz tutmaz dizlerim dermanım ol (My knees won't stand straight without you, come and give me strength)
Gel gel gel gel gel gel (Come come...)
Gel efendim gel gel gel sultanım ol gel (Come and be my sultan, come)
Gel efendim gel gel gel mihmanım ol gel (come and be my guest, come)

Huri gibi yürür gelir yarim salını salını (My lover comes walking in swings like a huri*)
Bin kerre sarsamda doymam ince belini belini (I never never get fed up covering her thin belly thousand times with my arms)
Bal akar dilim emerken tatlı dilini dilini (Honey dew runs while I suck your sweet tongue)
Sensiz hastayım ümitsiz lokmanım ol (I am hopelessly sick without you, be my Lokman**)
Gel gel gel gel gel gel gel gel gel (Come come...)
Gel efendim gel gel gel lokmanım ol gel (Come and be my Lokman)
Gel efendim gel gel gel sultanım ol gel (Come and be my sultan)

Kul karacam aşık hali deli gönlüm çoşar taşar (Servant Karaca is in love, my crazy heart runs high)
Sele benzer sevdalanmak kendi yatağını aşar (To fall in love is like flood, it is not confined to its own bed)
Dur denilmez gayrı bana gönlüm saraylarda yaşar (Nobody should tell me stop now, my heart lives in palaces)
Sensiz ölümüm yakınsa fermanım ol (If my death is closer without you, come and be my death order)
Gel gel gel gel gel gel gel gel gel (come, come...)
Gel efendim gel gel gel sultanım ol gel (come and be my sultan)
Gel efendim gel gel gel cananım*** ol gel (come and be my lover)

*Huri is the women that is promised to Muslims when they are in heaven. They are portrayed to have beauty out of worldly comprehension.

** Lokman is a legendary figure in Anatolia, I am sure Armenians have it too. The legend says he could cure anything and last he wanted to find the plant of immortality. With different endings, he cannot be successful.

*** "Cananim" means "my canan" (see Turkish discussion tread ) and "canan" is the feminine version of "can", which is the same as "jan"
