I have found only one middling review of it. The photos in that ebay listing provide a good summary of its content. Where would I get it from a library? Even the British Library (which tries to obtain a copy of every important English-language publication) doesn't have a copy - which suggests it is not considered a serious work.
Yes, that about sums it up. Of course you can try to delude yourself into thinking that isn't the case - but in the real world, beyond the Armenian ghetto, everyone knows it to be true. Such is the reality of the impact of Ghazarian's book - not a single academic review of it, and the World's most important library not having a copy of it.
So, Soviet qualifications aren't worth the paper they're written on? Interesting.
That's the US$ 700 my dad paid for my degree wasted then!
I suppose Soviet or Armenian qualifications are not worth anything ......

Bell, while not being very favorable to most of your opinions, I gave credit for someone who impressed the need for thorough research and credibility of sources. Your admission regarding Ghazarian has burst your bubble and now I will simply dismiss all posts and comments made by you.
Thanks for the condescension......I didn't even follow your ebay link which I trust is not your only source of research, oh yeah you use wikipedia too.
BTW. Hayk Ghazarian, Dean of the Faculty of History & Philosophy and holder of the Chair of USSR History at Yerevan State University.
I suppose Soviet or Armenian qualifications are not worth anything in your jaundiced view Bell.
Much better to "research" on wikipedia and ebay reviews..............
If you remember, this thread is about an idiotic comment made by a supposed "historian". A proper historian would not make such a statement and I've yet to see anything that indicates Ghazarian is one. So maybe you should start to substantiate your assertion that he is, and that his book was worth the sacrifice of a good few trees.
Bell, speaking of idiotic comments, to post such as you have based on a review read on ebay placed by persons unknown and on photographs supposedly from the book................you've exposed the depth of your own research, your own prejudices and your disdain and hatred of anything Armenian.
I've posted Ghazarian's previous position, he is now retired, perhaps you should consider the same thing.

To condemn a book on that criteria is short-sighted and blinkered to say the least. Read the book or make no comment on it!
I thought you were quite insistent on posters providing documentary evidence and quoting document sources for statements made, yet you obviously feel there is no need for yourself to substantiate your own posts.
Bell, I'm disappointed in you, really.

have you read it Bell, or are you basing your criticism on reviews on ebay and photos?
If you read it, did you borrow from a library?
