Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum.         Virgil - just don't read my posts then but i'll refeer to you/your posts whenever I feel like it if its relevent to the discussion.

        No time to elaborate further at the moment - on the way out (to visit some Turkish friends as it so happens!)...but I ave also met Armenians in Turkey - and (for the most part) they live in fear...

          Yeah, one hundred years ago your ancestors were saying the same thing, but then we all know what happend.

          Anyways, I don't give a flying xxxx what you write nor do I ever read your posts, believe me, I don't really care much about you and your "one world, one human race" philosophy. However, that does not mean you have a right to twist my words, so, from now I would appreciate it if you would refrain from dragging me into threads, peace.

                Turkey's development near its eastern borders WILL undoubtedly benefit Armenia. If you observe nations of the world, you will see that sooner or later, all neighbors learn to work for mutual financial benefit. Look at the French and ze Germans for god's sake.

                Anyhow, returning to our main topic, here's a reality check:

                Turkey will never ever accept the genocide. To do so would be suicidal for any government currently in office. It may only accept deportation and forced march of civilians, in the best case scenario.

                And you think the Turks may hand over land as compensation?

                Obviously you have never met a Turk. They are the most single-mindedly nationalistic (fervently so), patriotic and stubborn people on the face of the planet. Wait no... or was that the Armenian people?

                Damn, being neutral is confusing sometimes.

                    First of all, France and Germany are culturally, lingusitically, and religiously a similar group of people. In fact, at some point in history Armenians and Greeks were rivals, but today they are friends because of cultural similarities. Hell, some Armenians originated in the Bulkans. Turks on the other hand have nothing in common with Armenians. The only Islamic country Armenians have cultural ties with is Iran and outside of this there really is no Islamic country that we have "ties" with. Face it, Armenians and Turks are not similar, so, stop trying to compare yourselves to Armenians. By doing so you will not become more "European" and Armenians will nots become more "Turkish", so, please stop using this angle to push your argument forward.

                    Yes, I agree that dialogue should somewhat be opened but not set on preconditions set by Turks. Furthermore, don't be fooled by the few Armenians (Fadix, Winowoman, and etc.) that are whoring themselves and their country for the sake of "world peace" because the Armenians that you really need to convince are the nationalists.

                    Lastly, What I find funny is how desperate you Turks are by always trying to connect yourselves to Armenians. You come to this forum claiming that we are "similar" and that we "need to be friends", but yet when it comes down to any mention or acknowledge of the genocide you quickly resort to quoting sources and placing two sides to the debate. Armenians speak a Indo-European language, while Turks speak a Turanian language. Armenians are Christians, while Turks are Muslim. Armenians originated from the Balkans, while Turks originated from Asia.

                    In short, you need Armenians now more then Armenians need you, which is why you come here with the half ass pascifist facade. If you you could destroy Armenia and Armenians you would in a heartbeat, hell, you already tried to destroy us, so, please do not come here trying to make "amends".

                      I am not Turkish. But you assuming that I could be is amusing. So please do so if you are convinced beyond any doubt, I don't have the time to argue with you about it.

                      First things first. Armenians and Turks ARE similar physiologically, because of intense inbreeding for more than 800 years. The Armenians could hardly be considered Aryan today, and who cares anyways? My example of Abdullah Gul being Armenian is true, and is a perfect example of cross-breeding. And it is from no newspaper. He is of Armenian heritage and he has never denied it. Even now I am searching an online source I can cite about this...

                      Two: Since Azerbaijani are effectively Turks themselves, you can pretty much guess whom the Turkish government will side with when and if the time for war arrives.

                      Three: Turkish is not a Turanian language. It is considered Altaic. There is no such thing as a Turanian language. Turan is the Hungarian term for the unison of all Hunnic/Turkic/Tataric lands in one great empire.

                      Four: If you think that Armenians originated from the Balkans, I have nothing more to tell you. That's like saying Persians originated from India. Armenians are today considered to have originated from where they LIVED historically.

                      Five: Turkey is above Armenia's league in geopolitical struggles. And as I have stated before, she has no intention to destroy anything. Turks hate Slavs more than Armenians, and will do anything to create a buffer nation between themselves and Russia.

                      Last but not least, quoting from the plenty of friends I have had amongst them, a Turk is a Turk foremost, and a Muslim second. Ask any Turk you meet. They will ALWAYS value their race over their religion.

                      Which is logical I presume. Religion, since its inception, has done nothing but act as tools in the wars between races (in my humble opinion).
