                well Romans actually spread civilization and law. Just they after they became Christian they Crusading to spread religion. The Seljuk Turks, invaded the Turkey land mass and eventually toppled Byzantium/Constantinople. So the reason why I said give it back to Rome is because it was the Turks who eventually ruined Rome. Plus everything belonged to Rome in the beginning.

                  Things change, boundaries change, peoples and countries change, nothing is static. History is a process, not a point in time, therefore you cannot use the past as a meter stick of what the present or future will be. Nothing is static or not subject to change in history. That once the Romans owned it does not make it "theirs" because before that many other people owned it, nevermind that "Romans" in the true sense do not exist, since they disappeared and with them, their civilization.
