A good question. The following words crossed my mind, but none expresses what I have in mind; "unrepaired" is the closest because it suggests reparations beyond the simple recognition. I'm looking for a word that suggests that actions will be taken and such reparations will happen.

    unhealed
    unrepaired
    unspeakable
    unforgettable
    unforgivable
What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.

My initial reaction is that it is impossible to explain all the facets and complexity of the genocide with one word. But perhaps the question could be: express a facet of the genocide that is either momentous or important to you.

Many come to mind, but one that we all agree on is "ill-advised" or "suicidal". As in: "you murderous monkeys, you've really done it this time".

Re: Explain The Armenian Genocide In One Word

I was in class the other day and I thought of this thread.

I should of said "Describe" instead of "Explain". It is different 'cause I'm not asking you to explain it, I just want it described with one word.

Well you could go into all the facets and complexities if you wish but I got a much simpler formula:

Masonic sect + beastial sadistic savages = genocide of Anatolian christian population

All intelligent people of the world disagree with you.
Below are some of the reasons you think the way you do.

                    1. Blindly defending Turkeys position, even though there is overwhelming evidence to support what the Turks have done for centuries.(murder)
                    2. Afraid that the world will punish you if you admit to the truth.
                    3. You will have to give back land that you stole.
                    4. Ashamed of what your goverments did.
                    5. Relocation may be the biggest lie.

In closing. My father was a good and honorable man who lost all his family in 1915. He said to me on his dieing bed that he had killed many Turk soldiers in the fighting, but he said he never killed Turkish women, children, and elderly people, but they killed our women, children and elderly. My reply to him was that maybe it was why they did it, knowing that they would not succede it they were honorable.

Think about these things before you come back with a BS answer.
I don't care if you like me, just stop saying things that are not true.

Avak jan, saying things that are not true has become part of what it means to be a Turk, an innate quality if you will. Every citizen of his/her nation would to some degree like to exaggerate and trumpet the good of his nation and downplay the bad. However, in case of Turks, they outwardly lie in the face of facts and take to bribing and coercion when those lies are broken.

Like a cancer that invades the body and masquerades as a benign organ, Turkey has tried and in many cases succeeded in getting away with plain murder and all sorts of crimes against humanity through lies. They are not going to stop lying now, I don't think. You can't make a dog recite Shakespeare any more than you can make a citizen of Turkey look at his country's history and present with open eyes. There are exceptions of course, but I'm only considering the prevailing pattern.
