Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

    International Crisis Group Urges Armenian Pull-out From Occupied 'azeri Lands'

    INTERNATIONAL CRISIS GROUP URGES ARMENIAN PULL-OUT FROM OCCUPIED AZERI LANDS

    Yerevan, 12 September: [Azerbaijani President] Ilham Aliyev's
    frequent public statements about an increase in the military budget
    of Azerbaijan are "moves in wrong direction", the vice-president
    of the International Crisis Group (ICG), Alain Deletroz, said in
    Yerevan today.

    Addressing a news conference in Yerevan today, Alain Deletroz said
    that "the arms race will be extremely dangerous for the sides of the
    Nagornyy Karabakh conflict and for the region on the whole". This is
    why, the ICG vice-president thinks, "Armenia and Azerbaijan should
    use the chance for the settlement of the conflict given by the Prague
    process".

    Alain Deletroz said that on 14 September the International Crisis Group
    will issue its report which contains recommendations to the parties in
    the conflict for the settlement of the Nagornyy Karabakh problem. The
    ICG vice-president mentioned basic recommendations to the authorities
    of Armenia and Nagornyy Karabakh listed in the report: to continue
    the Prague process; not to allow appearance of new settlements on
    occupied territories; to pull out troops from the occupied territories.

    As for determining the status of Nagornyy Karabakh, Alain Deletroz
    thinks this issue cannot be solved today and it is necessary to return
    to it in 10-15 years "by means of democratic procedures". The ICG
    vice-president believes that till that time Nagornyy Karabakh will
    be under the protection of international security guarantees.

    the international crisis group can go stuff itself. there is going to be not 1 single inch of liberated territory returned. This is out of the question. There exist nationalists within Armenia who will not allow this. For Armenian authorities to agree to such terms would mean not only the end of their political careers, but also their lives.

        Thus, International Crisis Group: suddenly the name came to be widely used in the information on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. From the very beginning the Group’s representatives have behaved very cool. For a short period of time they managed to “deal” with an ancient bloody conflict and presented a report with their recommendations. Moreover, the ICG representatives’ reports are becoming more and more imperative, categorical and even provocative. What kind of organization is International Crisis Group that it actually speaks on behalf of RA government? The information on the organization and its staff can be found on its Internet site - www. crisisgroup. Org. There are 59 employees in ICG Executive Committee. Here is the information received in Internet concerning some of the organization’s leaders and influential persons.
        MORTON ABRAMOVITS, one of the founders of ICG: former Assistant of the U. S. State Secretary, the U. S. ex Ambassador to Turkey. Morton Abramovits visited Ankara as a member of International Crisis Group. A quotation from an article published in Hurriet:”Till Turkish soldiers are in Cyprus violation is ruled out there”.
        ZBIGNEV BZHEZINSKI, former National Security Adviser to the U. S. President, a member of American – Azeri Trade House Honorable Board.
        STEFEN SOLARTS is also one of the founders and ICG vice President. He is one of the most influential lobbyists in the U.S., actively defends Turkish interests.
        ERSIN ARIOGHLU, Turkish MP. No comment.
        UTA ZAPF is Head of the German Bundestag Sub Committee on Demilitarization, Arms Control and Non - Extension. She is also a member of German Christian – Democratic Party, an active supporter of Turkey’s entry into the EU, Head of German – Turkish Parliamentary Group
        EMMA BONINO: European MP, a member of the EU “Independent” Commission on Turkey. There is a special section devoted to her activity targeted at Turkey’s entry into the EU on her personal site.
        WILLIAM SHOWCROSS – his name is mentioned among those who unleashed a war in Iraq.
        KENNETH ADELMAN – a member of American Committee for Peace in Chechnya. Isn’t it strange for the organization positioned itself as a peacemaking one?
        Also: members of the above – mentioned EU “Independent” Commission on Turkey, active pro - Turkish lobbyists PAT COX, BRONISLAV GEREMEK and the Commission Head MARTTY AKHTISAARY. One more name: GEORGE MITCHELL – ICG Honorable Chair, according to the Western mass media, he has been involved in the international swindle on attempt to privatize Azeri State Oil Company (“Victor Kozhena’s” case).
        KARLA HILLS – Shevron Corporation Director since 1993, its leading Director since 2004. To remind, Shevron Oil Company is Azerbaijan’s friend.
        Levon Ter – Petrosyan’s former press secretary is International Crisis Group representative in Armenia.
        One more thing: last year Turkish MFA became one of the ICG sponsors.
        The answer to the question put as the article’s headline is obvious. Are there any questions?
