You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Kandilli Armenian Church Foundation: It Was Not Genocide. It Was

Kandilli Armenian Church Foundation: It Was Not Genocide. It Was
    Relocation

ISTANBUL - ''It was not genocide. It was relocation which caused
painful events,'' Dikran Kevorkyan, chairman of Kandilli Armenian
    Foundation, said on Saturday.

Speaking at a conference in Istanbul on the Armenian issue, Kevorkyan
said, ''it was not genocide. It was relocation which caused painful
and tragic events. We should underline the fact that political,
psychological and economic developments led to the relocation.''

Highlighting importance of mutual tolerance and understanding,
Kevorkyan noted, ''several countries approved some resolutions about
genocide in order to get votes of the Armenian diaspora. All those
are political matters. France, Germany, Britain, Russia and
indirectly the United States have always used the Armenians. Today,
they are trying to pay its price. They approve those resolutions to
cover their mistakes. I do not approve politicians' inciting hatred
among people for their own political purposes.''

'Turks and Armenians were Made Enemies'

            By Adem Eyupoglu, Osman Asilturk
            Published: Sunday, November 20, 2005

Turkish Institute of History (TTK) President Professor Yusuf Halacoglu stated Turks and Armenians, who lived together in peace for 850 years, were made enemies of each other by internal and external powers.

Indicating a serious murder is being committed Halacoglu added: “The committers of this murder are the imperialist powers which accept so called Armenian Genocide in their parliaments.” Halacoglu gave a speech at a panel titled, “Loyal Nation: Armenians,” organized by the Federation to Fight Against the Unfounded Armenian Allegations (ASEF). He questioned the reasons why Turks and Armenians became enemies all of sudden after living in peace for 850 years and added the main problem was that Armenian organizations like Kipchak and Tashnak made the two countries enemies.

Halacoglu wanted to open cases against the countries which accept the so called, Armenian Genocide claim and reminded he said three years agos, ‘If there is an Armenian Genocide and mass graves of Armenians show me and lets open them together.” Halacoglu noted this kind of an offer has not reached him so far, however, they have opened two mass graves of Turks massacred by Armenians.

Danyal Topatan just turned in his grave.

FYI - Halacoglu is the "so-called" Turkish historian (supported by Turkish PM Edrogan BTW) who claims that only 50,000 Armenains lost their lives in 1915...but that Armenians killed over 500,000 Turks (the "so-called" documentary evidence of Turks killed by Armenians...)

International Symposium On Turkish - Armenian Relations

                    Anatolian Times, Turkey
                    Nov. 24, 2005

PUTTING PRESSURE ON A NATION IS THE REAL GENOCIDE, HALACOGLU

ANKARA - An international symposium on "Turkish-Armenian Relations and
1915 Incidents" has started at Gazi University in Ankara on Wednesday.

Addressing the opening of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Halacoglu,
chairman of the Turkish Historical Society (TTK), said that putting
physical and spiritual pressure on a nation was the real genocide. "We
can bring together scholars having different views to set up a
commission and we can investigate the issue," he added.

Referring to the resolutions adopted by the parliaments in Europe
regarding the Armenian claims, Halacoglu said that "parliaments have
turned into judicial organs and they don't even ask those-- whom they
                    charge-- to make a defense."

Halacoglu stressed that the incidents of the past can be enlightened
by opening of all archives, adding that the Armenian diaspora turned
the issue into a political one.

Deputy Parliament Speaker Sadik Yakut said in his part that the
problem was not related to only Armenians, adding that the problem
came out when those countries which had interests over Turkey,
                    manipulated Armenians.

He stressed that it was the Turkish parliament's mission to explain
to the world that the problem was not the 'Armenian problem' but the
Armenian side was the one which caused problem.

Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Kadri Yamac said in his part that
history couldn't be written down through voting in parliaments.
