You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Arf Takes Action Against Azeri Policy Of Destruction

    Armenpress
    Feb 2 2006

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Revolutionary Federation
(ARF) Bureau released a statement Wednesday saying that the Azeri
army's barbaric destruction of ancient cross stones (khatchkars)
in Nakhichevan had nothing to do with religion, but was aimed
at eliminating evidence of Armenian presence in Nakhichevan. The
historic Julfa cemetery, located in southern Nakhichevan, has by now
been completely destroyed by the Azeri army.

In the statement, the ARF declared that, "The act was in itself an
anti-Armenian step like those which Azerbaijan carried out during the
88 years of its existence against the Armenians of Armenia and Artsakh
and the Armenian monuments in general." In order to protest against
Azerbaijan's criminal policy of cultural destruction and elimination,
and to demand action from the whole world, the ARF Bureau has declared
February 28, the anniversary of the massacres of Sumgait Armenians
by Azeris, "Day of Protest against the Criminal Policy of Azerbaijan."

On February 28, in various cities throughout the world, protests,
demonstrations, and other events will be organized in front of Azeri
diplomatic organizations and corresponding international organizations.

Armenians and non-Armenians alike are urged to participate in calling
the world's attention to Azerbaijan's nearly century-long policy of
    destroying Armenian culture and heritage.

Armenian Monuments Demolition Issue Raised in CE Again

    07.02.2006 00:46 GMT+04:00
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe discussed the letter of inquiry submitted by former member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Shavarsh Kocharian on the demolition of the Armenian cemetery in Old Julfa, reported RA MFA press office. Armenia’s permanent representative in CE, Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanian addressed the sitting. The Ambassador underscored that the fact of demolition is intolerable, it infringes human values and conflicts with one of the CE major goals. The Ambassador stressed that the letter of inquiry and the photos attached to it prove the fact of destruction of the Armenian khachkars by Azeri soldiers and said Azerbaijan is responsible for this deed. He also noted that these barbarian acts are numerous and have a long history. At the same time the Ambassador expressed regret that PACE, which had to assess the condition of the cultural heritage, did not receive permission to visit Nakhichevan. If the visit were held in time such events could have been avoided, he said. Christian Ter-Stepanian informed that international organizations provided feedback on the matter. Thus, January 19 the European Parliament passed a resolution calling upon the Azerbaijani authorities to stop demolition of khachkars.

The permanent representative in CE noted that while the international community marks the 50th anniversary of the European Convention on Culture, a state that has signed this Convention violates it. Despite the fact that destruction of the Armenian monuments is still continued in Nakhichevan no single international commission has visited the site yet. The Ambassador called upon the Committee of Ministers to urge the Azerbaijani authorities to put an end to these acts and allow an international commission to visit the places of common human values.

The only action we should take is to take Nakhichevan back. Simple as that.

It seems to be the only solution to that, but I don't think that we need to do that now, although Turkish boarders with Nakhichevan are very small, yet we should expect that Turkey will get involved anyway! And God forbids we might find ourselves where we were 100 years ago, under the mercy of Turkish Genocidal rule !!

Armenian People Have Solved Karabakh Problem

            22:07 02/16/2006

"Armenian people solved Karabakh problem. Nagorno Karabakh was
liberated and its security was guaranteed," said head of ARF
Dashnaktsutiun's parliament fraction Levon Mkrtchian. "At this stage,
Armenia tries to fix it de jure," he remarked stressing that for
Armenia the variant of solving the problem by Nagorno Karabakh
            rejoining Azerbaijan is inadmissible.

According to the deputy, meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijan presidents
diminished the possibility of renewal military activity.

Also, concepts were created, upon what the talks are held. Mkrtchian
stressed, that in case of military actions' renewal, Armenian people
will defend their motherland. "We will be able to repel the attack
of Azerbaijan of our own," assured the MP.

French Socialists to introduce bill against denial of Armenian Genocide

              30.03.2006 16:38

YEREVAN (YERKIR) - The Socialist faction of the French Parliament took a decision on March 29 to introduce a bill in the Parliament against the denial of the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s Western Europe Central Committee has issued a statement welcoming the decision that is the result of many petitions sent by the ARF to the Socialist Party leader Francois Holland.

“This is the second time that the Socialist faction is using the Parliament for the benefit of Armenians,” the statement says. “After May 29, 1998, which was dedicated to the Armenian Genocide law, the Socialist Party could use May 18, 2006 to pass a law that would outlaw the denial of the Armenian Genocide.”

If passed, the law will make it a crime to deny the Armenian Genocide and the deniers would be automatically convicted.
