The tension between Iran and the Western world has reached a point where the United States administration has claimed to have drawn up a list of 31 provinces in which Iran is conducting its nuclear activities.
The United States, according to these claims, is due to launch a military operation against Iran in early 2007 to demolish all 31 provinces.
Pentagon officials have resorted to several European and American strategic institutions to report on a possible military offensive, read a news report in Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot, based a report in Saudi newspaper Al-Vatan.
The report is meant to suggest a military offensive be launched against Iran in January next year before Iran’s involvement in its nuclear activities becomes permanent, reporters say.
Iran may possibly manage to generate radioactive materials by the time the United States has prepared to stage a military action against the country, Washington administration officials said, and there are concerns about the possibility of Iran becoming exposed to some leakage of radioactive materials.
Iran could only endure an American strike for six months, suggesting the US military would have the advantage of suffering fewer loses than expected.
