I am sure the "Armenian Issue" (as they adore to call it) has a good chance of coming up at this event anyway, but if enough of us show up and we make our presence felt, there may be opportunity to engage a wider discussion.
EVENT: Lecture by the Consul General of Turkey, Los Angeles, R. Hakan Tekin, on "The Role and Challenges of Turkey in a Globalizing World." This lecture will take place on Tuesday, June 10, at 4:00 pm in the Board Room in Harper Hall, CGU.

Served at the Turkish Embassies in Abu Dhabi/United Arab Emirates,
Sofia/Bulgaria, attended the NATO Defense College Senior Course in Rome
and worked at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations in
New York.
Assumed his post in Los Angeles as Consul General on 15 April 2007. His
area of responsibility includes 12 states of the western region of the
United States.
Graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences,
Department of International Relations in 1989.
Worked at the Departments of Culture, Central Asia, Human Rights,
Balkans and Personnel within the Ministry.
