The Best New Band: The Last Shadow Puppets

I have to say, I have not heard such an amazing new band with a new and refreshing sound in the last several years.

I have their whole album downloaded but I have two youtube clips for you folks.

They are influenced by the Beatles, Oasis, the Doors, and there's even a bit of Muse in it. But this band is highly underrated and so awesome in their sound.

I like them enough to where i think i will go ahead and buy thier cd.

*And they do seem to have bit of each of those bands in their music and their appearance, channeling the Beatles haircuts much?

Trust me, they are really good. You won't go wrong. Especially after listening to their stuff a few times.

Thanks mouse, I am hooked! I can totally see the fusion of Beatles and Oasis. Doors-not really. I think I like them much better than Oasis, just for the simple fact that the their songs differ from one another, as opposed to Oasis whose songs sound the same. Also they don't seem to be the a55holes that Oasis brothers are. Having said that, I think that they are still copying the Beatles, just like Oasis, I don't know if I am totally happy about that, but at least they are taking modern music back to a more cerebral and "interesting" direction. Thumbs up.

The sound of the Doors is prevalent in one song only, which I haven't linked, but when you hear their songs you'll hear it.
