That's just WRONG!!). Isn't Shavo the one with red hair & green eyes (at least he looks that way in the pics). And the one who wears the Egyptian eye make-up. Does he LOOK Armenian? He jsut doesn't look Armenian to me. He's involved in the Occult (or, "fascinated" by it, I have read...minus the spelling error if there is one).

I didn't mean to imply that those raised in America do drugs, but, what I was saying is...asking, really, do they ACT more American or Armenian?

Who is "They all"? SOAD or rockers in general?

I'm glad you said this, actually. I want to like them less for these reasons, but, being as they ARE Armenian and I feel that there are so very few of us that to speak out against anybody who has made it big would be almost traitor-ish, in a way.

Like I said, one of the gayest bands I've ever listened too.

    Drugs aren't bad. People are.

A Dutch music journalist once visited Mr. Serj and interviewed him at his home. Midway the interview, the journalist said that he had lost count of the number of hits Serj had taken from his bong.

When offered a joint before a concert in the Netherlands, Serj is said to have said: "There's tobacco in it. That won't do for me." Or words to that effect.

That same evening, he was wobbly on stage and on more than two occasions yelled through his microphone: "I'm too goddamn stoned!"

The Dutch super-joint apparently had more effect on him than he could have dreamed of.

Upon confronting my proud father with these facts, he said: "If he needs the drugs, then let him have them." When I reminded him that there were younger members of his family who enjoyed a smoke once in a while, he gave me a look and said: "That's different."

First time I am hearing System of a Down sing in Armenian, so it is true! ...

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The video sucks (I think it's some camera phone) but it's definitely those guys. The description says Daron is singing it for his girlfriend. I feel sorry for the girl.

Last year, in October, I was sitting with my fiance at a resturant called "The Club", in Yerevan, when out of the blue Serj non-chalantly walk in with a few other people. No one really made a big deal about it except me...I was sort of shocked, so I shouted "Serj...I love you man" across the table. I think he was a little taken aback by my enthusiasm, as he ended up moving to another table out of veiw to mine. However, prior to moving, he came up to my table and chated for a few minutes. He was very gracious, in spite of my "school girl" moment. The only gripe I had was that he rejected my request to take a picture with him...he said "maybe later, outside"...I took the clue...oh well.
Anyway, I'm still a huge fan and I'm sure my path will cross with Serj again someday.
