Well, how to tell how much it is great to have a person in your family that is playing a beautiful sounding instrument, a piano!
My sister is a pianist and I kind of enjoy her practicing slow beat and slow tempo Beethovens The Tempest

by the way! She also plays Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G Minor, a very tough work.
Oh and Bach's prelude and fugue is so relaxing and makes me sleep... So... I think I gave too much info hehe

classical music is timeless, its in our bones, in every fiber of our being, its in nature, its the universe.

classical music is what i grew up on, my father is a professional violinist, maker, repairer, restorer and seller of violins, violas, bones and cellos.

if any of you live in the los angeles area, you might know of Hans Weisshharr. I love that shop He would take me with him when i was a wee little girl and i would spend my day with him, watching him work with the beautiful instruments, twas exciting and very educational.

I myself am a musician, I am an opera singer. The violin was never me. ( my father tried to teach me how to play it as a little girl) But i found that opera was what i loved most. Its as if you sing from your soul, to the souls of others....luminating them with beautiful music all over.

i love watching the expression of others when i give them something special to feel with my music, its undescribable.

i love bach, verdi, vivaldimozart, chopan,handel, beethoven.Basically dramatic, pieces that drive ones insides to burst with such emotion and feeling that you dont know how to control it, and it causes you to cry from its sheer beauty.


i love the romance period, and the baroque period a great deal.


i adore Bach's cello suites a great deal, they are very powerful.... The cello is my favorite out of all instruments, and also the contrabass, those instruments vibrate in your center ( soul) its an amazing feeling, like it comes from deep inside you. A haunting sound...


and mozarts requiem makes me cry, when they are barrying him... it makes the tears flow out like a river.

this might sound kinda pathetic, but I have never been able to like classical music. maybe I havn't listened to the real/emotional stuff. I guess I really like Gershwin's prelude 1 (sounds mysteriouly armenian like ) but I don't know if that counts as classical music. I'm more into rock at the moment (zeppelin, sabbath, alice in chains, smashing pumpkins, etc.) if you have any suggestions on what classical music to listen to let me know, I'd be glad to listen (since I'm kinda embarassed at the moment about not liking classical music)

Why would it sound pathetic, that's your opinion. Who cares if everyone so far said they like classical music. If you don't like it you don't have to say "this might sound pathetic" thinking others might dissaprove. If they don't approve, who gives a xxxx .
