Yes you are, Loser!
This means I'm going to have to borrow whatever you have left now.
A couple he left off that I think are least worth listening to, even if you don't like them, just for the influence they had:
Gram Parsons
Nick Drake
Big Star
Velvet Underground
Television
Iggy Pop's solo work
Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band
Tom Waits
The Zombies
Love
Primal Scream
Joy Division
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Patti Smith
The Jam
Spiritualized
Woody Guthrie
The Byrds
The Flying Burrito Brothers
Van Morrison
Leonard Cohen
Wire
Dr. Octagon/Dr. Doom/Kool Keith
I'm sure I'm leaving out a couple myself. Oh well.
Did you not read the disclaimer? Captain Beefheart's music is almost impossible to listen to, but it is important for the influence it had. The Mothers of Invention, for one, and Tom Waits, probably would never have existed without him.
